Is anyone else seeing this switch bezel crack. Noticed it this week and no idea when it would have happened since I have mostly kept the car in one drive mode. Real annoyance is that its not just a bezel, but only available as the whole switch pack (35730-T60-C01). My thought is that the hot/cold temp cycles cause it to crack at this point.

Weird place for a crack like that. I'm a little doubtful that temp change could do that. It would have to be extreme. But you never know.

Do you normally take your car to the dealer or another shop for service or anything?

Maybe it happened at that time.

Hot/cold cycles will not cause automotive plastics to crack like that, not even sub zero temps. You’d find cracks in other areas too, if that was the case. I think something got dropped on it. Just to be sure, are you positive it’s a crack and not a deep scratch? Almost looks like maybe a blade (like a box cutter) sliced it.

Definitely cracked all the way through. About the only thing that would have touched it is a microfiber to 303 protectant on it.

First of all, I want to thank Chilly613 for helping me out with a replacement.

Second, after taking a closer look at my old one, it looks like its the same switch bezel as the Acura Integra (35730-3S5-A01). There are a couple tabs holding in the switches themselves an can pretty easily be popped out to replace the Integra switches with the Type R ones. Not sure why Honda doesn't just sell the plastic piece, but either way the Integra switches are way cheaper and dont have the Type R tax. Hope this helps someone else out in the future.
