I just parked in my garage and turned off traction control while in +R mode (held it down for a few seconds). Then I get the following messages that Adaptive cruise and the Collision mitigation braking system wont work - I need to take the car to the dealer.

Will resetting the car with a battery disconnect fix this?

I haven’t turned off Traction yet but usually if you drive around those warnings go away. It might just be what happens when you turn off traction control

That’s the consensus on Reddit. The message referencing that I need to take the car to the dealer is very strange, like who thought that was a good idea if everything is actually okay?

I have long pressed the traction control button (until you hear the double beep) in +R mode a bunch and never seen that warning.

I turned it on and off a number of times. Never got that message. I agree with the other poster, in recommending go for a ride and see if the message clears.

So what’s it supposed to do or look like when you long press traction control in +R mode? My FK8 didn’t have the fancy stuff. It was a 2019.

After resetting the ECU I drove for a bit around the block and the lights turned off.

They didn’t go away when I cycled the ignition on/off/on..

when you long press traction control it just displays the traction control off light, thats it. Have done it a ton of times.

You should scan the codes and see what they say but what you are experiencing has nothing to do with turning of the traction control

Is your windshield super dirty or fogged up? The cameras need a clear view and if they are obstructed it will do this. Once the fog goes away the warning should go away quickly (like 1-2 min of driving).

Nope I admittingly keep the car very clean but I was parked in the garage and it was a little dark.

After pulling the negative terminal on the battery, waiting 10ish seconds, then going around the block for a short drive it all resolved itself.

I just wont be doing it again until I need to get my oil changed just in case it happens again ill have a trip to the dealer anyways. Till then no wiring up the dash cam but thats okay.
