Curious if anyone has been waiting more than a year on products bought outside the US?

Just waiting on some exterior pieces but don’t know if I should be concerned. Ordered through LMTLS

It depends on what the items are. Many of the big ticket items from Japanese manufacturers are either made to order or made in batches so wait times can be long dated. There is nothing wrong with following up with the vendor to request an update, especially if the initial ETA has passed.

I have parts from Japan ordered through LMTLS that I’m still waiting on. Ordered 5 months ago. They told me it would be a long wait but if it had been a year I would follow up.

Every response has been they are waiting on the crate to arrive. The lead time was 6-8 months and I understand it doesnt work smoothly, but a year now is quite a long time.

My guess...Your order was placed where a new container was needed to be filled and they don't ship until they are full. I would presume the 6-8 month lead time initially mentioned was based on the forecasting of future orders to fill the container itself. Port-to-port container shipping from Japan to CA averages 2-3 weeks.

Alternative option is to buy direct from a vendor in Japan. Granted you will have to pay more for shipping and tariff fees but at least you receive the item much more quicky.
