I didn't have any time to remove the spray paint. I'm gone 3-4 weeks at a time working. My car is never down in truth. If I don't have the time or a helping hand. I leave it with the world’s best honda tech and pick it up when I get back.
I'm rather envious of people who have free time for projects and get to DD their cars.
I'm planning on retiring very early so more work then play nowadays ?

As for others working on my car, I have been burned by every trust chance given particularly to dealerships.

After purchasing the FL5, I brought my car to the dealership for the first time to fix the the steering rack recall. They said that I could also have an oil change and tire rotation done for no additional cost where I agreed. I thought everything was good even after inspecting but later learned of other crap. When the dealer rotated the tires, they scratched the inside of one wheel in several areas.

Without a doubt...One just has to find friends that share a common goal/interest. For the FL5, @PointByPatrol and @Jester04 are true gems. I would also add @siwelnosaj into the fold. Enthusiasts simply helping others.

~20 years ago, I founded the Chesapeake Area Roadsters (CAR) Miata club in MD. It was a technically oriented club with monthly meets where enthusiasts helped others do engine swaps, roll cage installs, suspension modifications, etc. The club is unfortunately defunct because of our current litigious society. Prior to and including that experience, I remain a true rotary junkie.

Sounds really good and love the tips. Sounds very similar to my Remark SS Dual tip it has that same deep tone at idle and ripping through the RPMs??

We've been wanting to get some locals on the Remark to make another video! Have supplied several, but all Shipped out.

Did you pair yours up with an aftermarket DP and/or FP?

Superspeed Wheels just launched their lightest ever flow formed wheel, the new 76RR. This is a Type R spec wheel in 5x120 and 64.1. Black finish is in stock, Satin Bronze will be ready in late July - August.

We picked up a set for our FK8, and for testing purposed swapped it onto our FL5 as well. Look at all that MEAT!

I don't recall a lighter wheel in this size, and for this price of sub $1k USD before shipping. North of the border, 1 in 4 Type R's run SS because the value just can't be beat. This is now my 6th set...each time I say to myself I'm ready to try another brand, these guys ring me up and say, "Hey Humza, we've got something new that you're going to like ?". Forever trapped to good value and not paying JDM tax!

I'll be honest I was a bit sceptical that this was going to work on the FK8 because it has less clearance, but it cleared because of stock height on that car. I knew the FL5 and DE5 have better clearance than FK8 so stock height wasn't a concern but we have Swifts installed on the FL5 so I was sure it would rub but they've been installed for 3 days, and we tried to see if we'd get any rub with 4 occupants and nothing! No special track alignment or camber arms, no pulling, trimming etc.

However, the DWS06+ has a rounded shoulder, so please note that it won't be as easy with a squared-shoulder 200TW. Enjoy these shots - pics #4 really illustrates how meaty it is!

The Remark came with a 3” FP and I’m running it with the stock down pipe . Everything else is stock except for a PRL stage 1 . It really sounds good as is but a DP is definitely on my radar along with a PRL intake when it passes SoCal emissions ??

This Red FL5 is our current test car but not personally owned by me, I still have my FK8. It's a close friend's and he wants to go the more JDM route so the wheels were on for a temporary fit for testing. They've already been removed and will be back on my FK8 this week.
