2025 CTR, rock hit windshield, big crack-insured with USAA, said I wanted OEM windshield-no problem. Safelite handles their glass. I call dealer sold me the car-got part number-73111-T-60 something. Safelite gets part in but, not compatible my camera! Will not plug in-so ? maybe mis marked part?-I call Honda main customer service #, give them VIN, they say that’s the correct part number! Safelite orders another windshield, now it’s OEM, Honda H on the glass, Honda red part sticker-does NOT fit! Not compatible with my camera! Smart guy at Safelite says need the windshield for Civic LX, Sport-part number 73111T-20-A31, they get it in-fits perfect! Works great. I call Honda back to tell them they and their dealership gave me wrong part number. They give me bunch of BS, say Safelite uses aftermarket suppliers, I say nope, I have sticker, actual Honda part-they care!

Well I got my windshield replaced with 73111-T60-305 and clearly it fit perfect because it's on the car
And FWIW I also went through USAA for my claim. But I coughed up the extra money to have the replacement done at Honda and not through Safelite -- clearly they do not know what they are talking about!

First mistake was asking a dealership for a part number, you should go to Honda's official site "Honda dreamshop" plug in your VIN, and check there.

According to dreamshop the correct part number is 73111-T60-305.

You've been bamboozled OP. Type R glass isn't acoustic glass like the other trims either (also pretty sure it doesn't have the same UV protection).

That is interesting. Thank you for sharing that information. Usually T60 parts are for TypeR and T20 are for base models. I wonder if this is country specific, as in USA models are equipped with base model safety cameras compared to other countries?

I've got USAA too and I've seen some states cover windshield, but CA does not.

Did you just go through your comprehensive and paid the deductible to get it replaced then?

I'm like 99% sure there is no variant of the type R in any region with the new honda sense cameras - as in they dont have anything but the single camera on the windshield.

Op also mentioned Safelite, and Safelite exclusively operates in the USA, so the type R variant is the same as everyone else in the USA. This is more than likely just install error on Safelite or them being disingenuous.
