I've had this the whole time I've had the FL5 (3 years). When I turn right in the parking garage at work I get that loud clicking too

Did this ever come back? Shop found nothing wrong with my suspension, re torqued my sub frame which fixed it.

Now it’s back 3 weeks later… I can’t with this stupid car.

Bumping again.... hoping anyone can shed any insight / help they could possibly provide.

Really don't want to take it to honda, tell them its a subframe click, and have them replace all my suspension components which don't need to be replaced

it’s the worst. I can’t be taking my car in to get sub frame bolts re torqued every few months to “fix” whatever is happening here.

How long has it been happening to you / details?

basically same as OP, like a metallic string tiny click once per rotation at slow speeds when wheel is turned somewhat strongly right and accelerating. i used to find a groaning sound when doing a similar turn which is now gone, and now when turning right its like a little tick tick tick noise. very small noise but due to the nature of it being an oscillating noise has me a little concerned about cv axles

gonna see what I can find myself and probably end up asking for some help and see if i can find anything more

Kee me posted. It’s exactly what I have as well. Reputable import shop found nothing wrong with my suspension when they looked it over

In another thread apparently the mopars have the same issue with the very small ticking noise in the same exact way, apparently those guys are fixing it by buffing the contaminants off the wheel mounting face and the hub. I took some video of my tie rods and cv axles and they honestly look just fine I'm having someone else take a look at the front end components to make sure, but I'm willing to bet it's the hub and wheel face contaminants at this point

Interesting… so possibly a take off wheels / clean hub etc and put back on situation?

Yep correct

Thing is, cv axles make a different noise more like a clunk, higher density source object than like a small tick, but people just call it a click which is kind of nondescript so in reality the likelihood that it's the cv axle tie rod etc is like actually low

Otherwise we'd hear a deeper clunk

This tiny ticking noise is super similar to the tick that metal makes when being broken from a sieze

Keep me posted on what happens when you take the wheels off and back on please 🙏🏻

I would agree...What should be standard is to use a wire brush and then clean the contact areas. After that, apply a thin film of copper anti-seize lubricant on the connection points before installing and torquing the lug nuts to spec.

Suggestion while you are in that area...Clean the rubber boots on the axels with soap and water. Once dry, apply a silicone lubricant.
