Most of the installs are complete, and we're a little sure about the line so I've emailed XDI the following:

"
1) Are both ends the same on the line? Visually it's hard to tell them apart
2) Is this line rated for ethanol use?
3) We're barely getting 3 threads of engagement with the fuel rail, is this normal? Tried both sides.

Either end threads into the Full-Race HPFP just fine.
"
Will post what we get back from them. Everything else has been smooth sailing thus far *fingers crossed*
Update

1) Both ends are the same
2) This line has been used across all fuel types for the past 10 years. It's technically a hydraulic hose with a proprietary compound, so the manufacturer doesn't publicly confirm fuel compatibility to protect their IP, but it's been run on ethanol, pump gas, race gas, methanol, and even hydrogen, including in actual motorsport applications. We're working with them on getting some documentation together, since trust in this market has taken a hit after other brands' lines have had issues over the years.
3) Snug it down fully by hand first to avoid any cross-threading. Once that's done, you can go over it with a wrench, but honestly a good hand-snug is usually more than enough for these.

—

I also spoke with several other people running different lines including XDI, 4-piston, and Full-Race V3.

The other person’s tech confirmed that with the wrench in the end they also achieved 3 1/2 threads of engagement which is what we also ended up with, and it’s held up the last 4 months. They were previously using the V3 line which cracked.

I was also advised to use heat wrap on the line as the 1.5ā€ longer flex length means it can/should be routed from the hpfp to fuel rail slightly differently to avoid kinks, but that means it runs next to the coolant hoses, which are particularly hot. Thankfully we keep just the right part by Dream Automotive in stock.

I will be cross-posting this on the thread about HPFP’s and fuel lines, it’s valuable information for everyone that will be easier to find there. We’ve unofficially confirmed fitment as it’s on the car now, but I’ll guinea pig as well for some time and if there’s no issues we’ll consider adding it to the kit as optional yet recommended purchase.

Photos below for context. The dream shield has to be trimmed to length, or just use any heat wrapping material that you have available to you. We used zip ties as the velcro couldn’t fully hold as the wrap is meant for thinner lines in the engine bay. First picture of how it looks showing the routing of the house, second picture with the bracket back on.

Back together! We completed the install today and checked over every fitting, nut, bolt, and connector before the first start.

1) Instructions advise starting in accessory mode and checking for leaks at the HPFP, none observed. Check āœ…

2) With no leaks present, proceed to crank the engine 4-5 times to bring fuel back up through the LPFP, fuel lines, HPFP, fuel rail, injectors, and into the engine. Check āœ…

3) If the hardware is installed correctly and the tune takes properly, a rough start on the sixth attempt should quickly settle into a smooth idle. Check āœ…

4) Idle for 15 minutes, scanning for codes or leaks. Check āœ…

5) Take it for a drive on the basemap, listening for any inconsistencies, then return and recheck all fittings. Check āœ…

6) Perform the first datalog on the street and share it with your tuner, in this case, DRob. In progress.

7) Head to the dyno for a full tune on pump gas, with ethanol optional. Expected within the next 1-3 weeks.

I drove about 60 miles today. I got the 15-minute steady cruise + WOT in 3rd from 2000rpm logged. For some reason on two occasions the FlashPro didn’t log my 15-minute stop and go, which I’ll have to reattempt tomorrow, along with my first 15-minute cold start and idle.

More to come šŸ™‚

Yes, I got it clear coated to match the intake and inlet. The Matte finish it comes in looks great too

Do you think it's anywhere as noticeable as the 27won one? My old car had tons of bracing and I noticed the rear prl bar and the front strut a lot

I installed a set of RokBlokz splash guards on my 2025 Civic Type R (FL5), and they are exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to add a little extra protection to the sides and rear of the vehicle from rocks and road debris without taking away from the overall appearance of the car.

I think they look great as well. They’re subtle enough that they don’t stand out or look out of place on the Type R, but they provide the additional protection I was looking for. Very happy with how they turned out.

Installed a no drill front license plate mount for the FL5. Made me a little paranoid the other day after having a Sheriff's patrol follow me turn for turn for a good few miles.

Also gave her a wash.

Looks Great šŸ‘ Been thinking about some type of front place solution myself. How do you think that lower grill piece would hold up in the long term with all that wind force pushing the plate into it at speed? I've heard some people had reported their grill getting deformed by similar no drill mounting plate, although, not this particular brand. But it's something to think about.

I think it should be fine. It seems like its the same one that @Unity Performance is running on Humza's build, so he may be able to give insight on the front plate mount since he's ran it longer.

TBH, I'm not too worried about it, I either won't take it off and just leave it, or replace the grille if anything.

I mounted mine a bit higher and to the right, in an attempt to block as little of the intercooler as possible. I had it there since I purchased the car in March 2025. I have not noticed any issues with wind force deforming the grill, and I'll never admit to driving faster than 130 mph. I just went out to double check. grill looks as good as new.

I used stainless zip ties and the Honda provided bracket (came with the car), which has hooks for the bottom, and drill holes for the top

I positioned it as far right (passenger side) and high as I could to minimize blocking airflow to the intercooler

That's what I will be planning to do also (mount it as high and toward the corner as possible) since that's the strongest part of the grill AND minimum blockage to the intercooler. Thanks for the feedback guys
