honda is really annoying with this release honestly
Yeah, I mean, I know from our perspective, as Type R enthusiasts, we find the way Honda is releasing the car to be ridiculous, but if you step back, it seems pretty much just like every other performance car. Look at the Z, they’ve been teasing it forever, and after the unveiling, they’ve still been waiting forever. It even got delayed from the spring and is just now finally coming out…and I heard it could still be a very limited and slow rollout.

We are the ones that are annoying. This is literally no different than any other Honda car.

Just look at these CR-V Junknies..

Seriously. Read in there. The one dude is dreaming of a CRV Si with a 2.0 Turbo and a manual transmission.

Soon they'll be discussing markups and showing photos of unclad prototypes driving through Ohio/Indiana.

We all have it bad. It's hilarious.

i guess you're misunderstanding what i am meaning. i just hate the lack of info...they unveil the car and give zero indications on the power (toyota at least let everyone know what the grc will be powered by) and no pricing, release dates, etc. honda first said summer 22, then now it's fall 22...they have the car driving around the city with the name taped off. the fk8 was never like this

To be fair, the FK8 came out in a different world. And while they did drop some info for the GR Corolla, maybe there is more going into finalizing power with the Type R, that the GR didn’t have to worry about. Everything else you’re talking about, has been going on with the Z.

I feel ya though, not denying how much this sucks. We all are waiting for any info to drop. Especially sucks when you hear about places taking deposits and I live in an area with basically all first come first serve dealers, so I won’t even know if I’ll be able to get one until the last moment.

yup...i'm lucky because i work at a dealer and i have my car secured. but the fact nobody knows anything other than little info from local sales reps is the issue. i'm just hoping in 2 weeks when sept finally comes, then we have our solid info we have been waiting for. because that's when they told me they will have a vin for me and allocations open.

We could be waiting on the GRC. April “release” and not a peep since lol
No kidding. It’s been radio silence on the GR for the last five months. Add on to that the limited availability for the Circuit and Morizo editions… Brutal.

Yeah that car looks like trash without the Circuit edition hood and wing.

I love how YouTubers keep calling it the “Launch Edition” when it doesn’t come out until next year…tf

FK8 was 2017. The whole entire industry was different.

Honda has always kept information close. I really don't anything different.

Friday Honda said no '23 Civics this order... Then guess what. We could order '23s. I don't filly understand what Honda is going through but I know I have customers who want things that may not see until 2023 at this rate. If there is so much uncertainty with an Odyssey. Why would a Type R be any different.
