Protective film on back fenders

I have a question maybe someone can answer. I noticed a week ago that my FL5 has a small clear protective film on the front of the rear fenders. Actually attached to the bottom rear of the back doors. It’s clear so you really don’t notice it. But I was wondering if that was supposed to be removed after shipping and the dealership forgot to remove them. Or is it meant to stay there? I am at work right now or I would post a picture of it. I can take one tomorrow. But does anybody else have this on their car?

The clear protector at the bottom rear of the back door is part of the design of the car.

Specific shape of protection films are strategically placed in areas where designers find little debris tend to get kicked towards and deemed necessary. You only need them when having to do bodywork.

Should be on every CTR. Mine has it. My detailer also explained how it was a high impact area for rock chips probably provoked by the widened fenders

I guess it’s just my OCD that makes it bother me lol. Once I saw it, now I can’t help but see it all the time. It makes sense that it would be for chips, but I’ve just never seen that on a car. Thanks though. At least I’m not the only one

Yeah I get it's just like any other semi noticeable detail. You really don't notice it until it gets pointed out then you can't unsee it.

Look at it this way, it's 1. Protecting a part of your car and even though it's noticeable it doesn't look bad (I don't think it does anyway). 2. No one notices it if they know nothing about the car so it shouldn't be something you let bother ya. Only way you can really remedy it is to PPF the whole door.

Its suppose to be there. Thats a high impact area for rock chips. I actually got all my doors wrapped with Expel so they removed it. But yes suppose to be there and a very nice detail from Honda to ensure the cars protected.

Gonna make your OCD a little worse here lol. When PPF isn’t wrapped around a panel and a leading front edge is exposed, it tends to accumulate dirt over time. On a white car, this can be pretty noticeable where you can see the outline of that edge.

Debating if I should pull it off now or wait to see if it bothers me years down the road.

Gonna make your OCD a little worse here lol. When PPF isn’t wrapped around a panel and a leading front edge is exposed, it tends to accumulate dirt over time. On a white car, this can be pretty noticeable where you can see the outline of that edge.

That’s actually when I noticed it lol. I thought it was a scratch until I looked close. I was about to get pissed off lol
