Just a handful of Type R’s by me in a 50 mile radius. Seems less now than a few months back.
Probably because the 2023s stopped and now the 2024s are starting to come in. Once the 2024s start ramping up there'll probably be as many as there were before.

I hope Colorado actually gets some damn Type Rs seems like here we're lucky if a dealer gets one or two

Gresham Honda/Tonkin followed up with me today they have reduce ADM to $7k. I think a local could possibly get $3k or less for a in person easy deal. Peter Byun is who followed up with me straight shooter.

Honestly I hope no one buys it and it sits until they’re forced to do MSRP. PNW dealers need to come back down to earth.

Paid 2k mark up for my CW FL5 on Black Friday. Ended up being 49.6 OTD with all weather mats, trunk mat and wheel locks. Also gave me 32,500 for my 24 Si which I had equity in, which was an over allowance for sure. So it was closer to MSRP.
63 cars purchased with the dealer and you still paid a markup?! After all those vehicle purchases, which I'm sure some you traded back in, I'm disappointed to read this. Anyhow, congrats on the purchase and enjoy the car in good health.
I'm not disappointed at all with the purchase with what I paid. With the over allowance on my trade its damn near MSRP and its a dealership I trust and are very transparent. I purchased my 2017 FK8 from them brand new for sticker. Also bought my 2008 Mugen Si well below sticker also brand new.

Congrats!!! Thats 3 SGPs bought in a row! 😎
This might come as a shocker, but this is my FIRST Honda, ever. Well, technically its the wife's car. Her very first car was a 93 Civic so she's back to her roots! Since I bought it for her as an early Christmas gift, I'll "borrow" it once in awhile when I wanna attack the backroads or the mountains as a change of pace instead of my M3 or R8. I think the FL5 is an absolute hoot to drive in anger. Best handling FWD car by a country mile, and I've driven my fair share.
Give the wife the R8 and you take the Type R. Would be a better gift for her. ; )

Had a dealer call me today about a black type r they have coming and they’re offering MSRP but want a deposit. The previous person who put a deposit on it dropped out. I already have a deposit on a 2024 G80 M3 so I’m not going do it. I say that to say it’s possible to get MSRP if you’re patient.

If they actively reached out to you to offer MSRP, it sounds like they're struggling to sell Type Rs. Looks like the market is finally softening.

Market is softening, but I don’t think this particular case is really a true example of that. MSRP sales (no forced add-ons, no ADM, no under-valued trades) are still rare for desirable vehicles. Anyway…this case could simply be a matter of a planned sale falling thru and the dealership needing to pick up the pieces quickly. That’s what it seems like to me…but you never know.

Picked up a BB FL5 Type R last night for $1K over (Western, NY). This dealership initially started at $10K ADM but with a certified used 23' CW sitting in the showroom and an incoming 24' on the way, they knew it was better to move inventory and make any end of year sales/commission.

Awesome! Was yours a 2024 or a 2023?

It was a 23'. I don't think dealers have a 24' sitting in the showroom rn but they will be soon. The dealership I bought mine from got theirs on Nov 23rd. I'm so happy I didn't act impulsively on their higher ADM offer during Thanksgiving weekend.

Based on experiences like yours, it sounds like same time next year we'll be getting 2024s for MSRP (maybe even a little under if we're lucky).
