I’m no longer in the market. Putting it out there in case someone might want it or can work him lower.

CW with $2k ADM in WA State.

What kind of car dealer doesn't want to sell cars?

The dealers who reached out to me did so because they found out they had 2024s incoming.
Dealers want to sell cars. There are benefits to having a Type R in your showroom. It generates buzz and traffic on your floor and online.

You saying the dealers reached out because they found out about they have 24s coming is the saying the same thing I told you in a different way. Clarification as to why was my purpose.

I do think Honda is going to crank out the FL5 for awhile, which means MSRP soon enough!

The previous comment of being the last of ICE is waning for all manufactures now that there has been some loosening on Euro 7 or whatever. Rumors are that Porsche is bring back NA to some of its 911 range, which awhile back people also said was impossible.

Again, wishful thinking on my end, we will have to see what Honda does after 2025 with the FL5.

Just wanted to give an update on the situation here in the west coast. For the most part, dealerships around here (California) are up to the same shenanigans as before. Turns out the "MSRP sale" the Irvine dealership salesman told me about that I mentioned in a prior post was totally bogus.

It was basically along the lines of, "The car is being sold at MSRP..." then they drop the, "Oh, we also have a few dealership convenience add-ons" after you dig deeper or drive out to their dealership... which amount to about $10k of an aftermarket security system, detail, and an "all-season pro pack" (whatever that means).

Not all hope is lost though. Cars are sitting on dealer lots for longer and a friend was able to snag a 2024 Boost Blue recently for $2500 over. I suspect a dealer willing to do $2500 markup is one who'd potentially cave to MSRP or throw in some goodies. I'm still firm at searching for a Type R at MSRP and will continue to enjoy my other cars if/until I find one.

Some New Hampshire dealership keeps bugging me after I haven't responded to their emails

" As we delve into the details, I want to clarify that the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2024 Honda Civic Type R stands at $46,345. However, I'd like to assure you that this is not our sale price. In the current market, this model is in high demand, and typical prices are ranging at $20,000 or more above the MSRP. "

I wonder why I haven't replied back...

FYI, https://www.motoringobsession.com/stock/civic-type-r now shows 1,990 cars. I've been following it closely and the numbers keep steadily increasing.
There has been speculation that those numbers are not accurate and cars that are pre-sold or recently sold aren’t being removed like before.

I read this from someone who purchased a car and it was weeks after it was purchased and still on the site.

that’s correct it isn’t entirely accurate, approximately a third of the cars you see there are sold. Thats just what I’ve looked into.

2000 cars for the entire country works out 1.72 cars per dealership, not a large amount by any means

@RUNN1N do you have a favorite salesperson at rousch? I see they had a black one on the way. I dunno if it’s sold, just saw it. If they’re open tomorrow I’m gonna give em a call

As far as I know, Cameron (a sales manager) is the one who handles their Type-R sales. Definitely give him a call!

Has/was anyone able to test drive an FL5 without, basically, committing to purchasing the vehicle? I've called four different dealers so far and their responses so far have been "We'll run the numbers and see if they work for us", "You drive it when you buy it," or "You're not allowed to test drive it."
