Any insight to what the difference is between what you see at the pan versus what the calculated value is on LogR?
It fluctuates. Sometimes there's a 15° difference and at other times it'll be within a few degrees. Almost always the calculated reads higher than the actual. This is both prior to and since the oil coolers have been added. Generally if it's all averaged out I would say the 2 are within 5-10 degrees of each other

Have you seen any noticeable drop in oil pressure?

Once it heats up and the thermostat on the sandwich plate opens up psi drops about 7psi. That's about what I would have expected. Still hovers right around 70psi at steady driving and goes into the high 60s when up to about 7k rpm

This has probably been the hardest step so far, getting the lines positioned and dialed in. Everything looks good and feels solid.

Also I have a full set of lines at the same specs I have shown and am using. I can sell to anyone interested in recreating this set up. I can do $250 shipped.

I did have to modify one piece, the sandwich plate bolt needed to be cut down on the part that bolts to the oil pan threads. About 1/4".

Had to modify one line as well, it was slightly too long. Tonight I'll update the parts list with the line specs.

Street Testing Results 🚨

Good news, ambient temps today and yesterday were the same at 95° at the time of driving. Oil temps stayed about 20-25° lower from mid 220s yesterday to high 190s-low 200s today. Coolant stayed way lower barely getting above 190 today, but mostly hanging around the mid to high 180s. It was over 205 yesterday.

The system will really shine when pushed at the track.

Psi dropped about 7-10 psi from 75ish at cruising (3k-4k rpm) down to 65-68, and at redline from 70 down to 61-63. Very similar to what it was on my fk8 set up.

customized a 24-row line oil cooler, removing the 16row HEL oil cooler (which might be relocated to the right side). I installed a thermostat on the cooler, and it showed a temperature of 160°F, while the car's reading was 202°F. I believe this is the oil temperature after it passes through the cooler.

Looks like you're using the brake duct to feed it air?

thats some cookie monster calculation lol what was honda thinking?
Yeah idk. It actually has me thinking how cars the oil temperature work with other cars. My Mustang has readings but it doesn't have a sandwich plate or a sensor attached to the oil pan so Im not sure how accurate the reading actually is.

Revised my setup a bit. I now have Setrab Series 1, 25 row oil cooler on each side, plumbed in series. I also installed PRL intercooler and CSF radiator. I see 70psi of oil pressure at 72mph cruising, very similar to what Jason is seeing for his dual setup and oil pressures. Did an 18 mile touge run today and the calculated oil temp reached 240F. Will have to hit the track again this year.

Are you considering adding an oil temp sensor? What was the ambient temp on your run today? Also do you know what your coolant temps were? Lastly, how did you decide to push air to the coolers, the brake ducts?
