I'm always careful not to follow too closely on the freeway and this happens! The FL5 gets driven like once a week.. and a rock still got me 😡. Good thing for insurance, just have to pay $250 deductible. FL5 OEM windshield is nearly $2200 not installed, + seals, installation and the calibration of the windshield sensor. On a positive note though, got a good deal on a PRL Carbon Inlet Pipe.

I picked one of these up, limited edition! Got it repaired relatively quickly and didn't encounter a flat, so all good I suppose.

No real performance improvement other than removing a coffee straw restriction however, the Fujitsubo front pipe can be acquired for ~$400.00.
I was really after the 5 pound savings and maybe a little more sound. The lowest price I've seen is $520 shipped, have you seen that price recently? I wouldn't do the down pipe as just a little extra sound is all I'd want. I still have memories of the raspy-ness of the downpipe from my cobalt ss.

Save your coins. Getting the front pipe alone doesn’t make much sense. You’ll spend ~$600 for a stainless steel pipe. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice one, a high quality one, but there are no distinguishing features or capabilities about it. The piece to have is the Ti mid pipe with resonator and rear muffler section.
I’ve been thinking about a front pipe since I did the TSP downpipe. Would it make any difference in sound or hp over oem?

@blueroadster I was about to ask the same. Where is it being sold for ~$400?

Very little to no difference in sound and/or power at the power levels of most of these vehicles.

I got the ECU back from COBB Tuning and reinstalled it yesterday after the the tire repair. Flashed their 93 octane OTS map and took it on a short 15-minute test drive to ensure everything was good. So far, so good. :drive:

Hondata unlock event in Chicago. They had 42 cars. A few ITS and a couple FK8’s. Pretty cool thing. And down the rabbit hole we go….
Reposting an old message of mine:

I've done a PRL intake and have a TSP downpipe on order. Been driving on the Hondata basemap for a few weeks and while the power bump was nice, the tune felt a little dirty. Worked with @Jester04 yesterday and my goodness does this car move effortlessly now. Power comes on so smooth and clean and even the shifting is better. I have no idea what HP numbers are now and honestly don't care. All I know is that I am not interested in more power than what I currently have. I'll install the downpipe in spring and I figure way down the road if my stock intercooler gets visibly beat up from debris I'll go ahead and do a PRL with some charge pipes.

It is all about not upsetting the balance of the car! Maintaining the original goal of Honda but with a better powerband.

BHJ has it listed for $376.00 here plus expensive shipping if ordering direct.

Washed, clay bared, and all waxed up.

Also recorded the following exhaust video with an iPhone 15 Pro Max about 2 feet away revving to 3.5k RPM. Exhaust side is using a TSP downpipe and Fujitsubo front pipe and exhaust.
This sounds really good. Still relatively composed even with the aftermarket downpipe. The dual resonators and rear section are doing their job!
