  1. Incremental improvements, Hybrid Racing shifter cable bushing and shifter base bushings.

I just installed the cable end bushings, which I've done for every other transverse-layout manual I've owned. They're a must IMO. I'm looking forward to pairing them with the Hybrid shifter assembly. That should equate to world class shift feel, regardless of price point.
  2. 18x8.5 Enkei TS-V + 255/40 DWS06+

The car has been driving fantastically in the cold, wet conditions. I'm still very happy with the setup.
  3. PRL adjustable knob, Acuity base bushings and overland design boot installed.

Yes, I have them. Given the loads the base bushings see, if you can truly feel the aluminum bushings then you've got an incredibly sensitive butt dyno.
  4. PRL adjustable knob, Acuity base bushings and overland design boot installed.

Base bushings are practically invisible. Cable end bushings are where you'll feel some improvement.
  5. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Funny you mention that, as I am on 18" wheels and was pondering this last night. Since moving to 255/40R18 DWS06+'s on Enkei TSV's, I've been very pleased with the ride quality and overall behavior of the car. When on the factory wheels/tires, I had this ITS ADS module toward the top of my list...
  6. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Has anyone with an ITS ADS unit decided to revert back to the CTR unit? If so, please message me if you'd like to sell the ITS unit. Hell, I'd even be willing to "rent" one and either ship it back if I decide against it or pay in full if I decide to keep it.
  7. Sources of Rattles/Creaks/Squeaks + Fixes

I looked around but couldn't find this yet, so perhaps this can act as the MASTER LIST for the sources of the things that annoy some of us the most. I just got the car so I can't contribute heavily, but I did identify the hood release cable as a source of small rattles while tinkering around...
  8. Should I Switch to a Different Tire that may have a Stiffer Sidewall?

I can absolutely confirm that this car equipped with 18x8.5 Enkei TSV's wrapped in 255/40R18 Continental DWS06+ tires does not suck in the slightest.
  9. 18x8.5 Enkei TS-V + 255/40 DWS06+

Yes, still on the stock springs. I've owned the car for 5 days and 300 miles. ;) No rubbing whatsoever.
  10. Should I Switch to a Different Tire that may have a Stiffer Sidewall?

A stiffer sidewall is not the solution for your problem, considering your current tire has a stiff sidwall.... You need more sidewall and a bit more tire protrusion at the lip, as opposed to a stretched setup.
  11. 18x8.5 Enkei TS-V + 255/40 DWS06+

I've run this tire on my previous Golf R and absolutely, positively adore them. It's truly a tire that I enjoy running year round, whether it's 85* and sunny, 45* and rainy or 15* and snowy. Low road noise, nice ride quality, fantastic wet and dry traction. They are not directional, but there is...
  12. 18x8.5 Enkei TS-V + 255/40 DWS06+

38 offset. Visually, it's *perfect* and I haven't been able to discern any difference in torque steer or response. I'm extremely pleased with this setup.
  13. FX3D rock guards

I also ordered some and they have shipped. These look OEM and are a perfect protection solution considering they integrate the mesh screen. I'm very excited to install these.
  14. 18x8.5 Enkei TS-V + 255/40 DWS06+

For anyone that's curious how this looks:
  15. Chromed my TE37s for the FL5

I want to like these so bad. But I can't.
