  1. CW FL5 Civic Type R w/ Integra Type S Wheels

This is a rare case where Honda and Acura made very good looking wheels with proper offsets. Swapping the ITS wheel is proof.
  2. Civic Type R Ownership | A Trip to Crazy Town [Savage Geese]

Since this is a car I wanted to buy, not just for the content sake I have far less desire to use it as an excuse to make videos on it. So this is really a one off until I start messing with the car more. The Type R/Type S is low hanging fruit for content, they get traffic I think thats why...
  3. Civic Type R Ownership | A Trip to Crazy Town [Savage Geese]

It's more about the constant questions of why people love a FWD car pushing 50k. I had a guy say I was crazy to get one when I could get an old M3, M2, C7. So I think in some ways we have some screws loose but at same time used it as ammo to explain it a bit more. (Respectfully)
  4. Civic Type R Ownership | A Trip to Crazy Town [Savage Geese]

I'll have a mod video in Spring. It won't be some crazy, "I changed everything" video.
  5. Negative attention

The problem with owning the Bugatti of FWD cars is people want to be close to it as though you are a celebrity. I usually pull off in middle of a crowded highway with my pen and get out and sign an autograph in the center lane and tell them about VTEC on my exhaust cam shaft. You gotta just...
  6. Second Gear Grind 😢

I had a 2nd gear grind around 1500 miles, going from 1st to 2nd at 2800RPM. No real explanation. If its almost always for you, something mechanical is wrong, probably issue with 2nd gear set.
  7. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

I don't know how any of you can drive these cars as dailies without having massaging seats, 60 way ambient lighting ,power fold down screens, powered running boards, ionizer, fragrance options, hands free traffic assist, auto trans, heated armrests, self leveling air ride, soft close doors...
  8. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

Zero issues but swap brak E No issue however if you're going to 20 minutes sessions at a minimum you should have brake fluid done and potentially better pads other than that it's good to go
  9. New Type-R (way better than Type S ;) )

Test driving new cars and judging power if fuel trim learning did not complete or done on the ECU end can make for a bad first impression. (Dealers often let cars idle too long, or get in a drive the doors off etc) The ITS makes more TQ and power than CTR on a dyno as an FYI.
  10. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

If I am not mistaken if thats the same dyno, it was at nearly 100F? The FL5 on track is widely known for pulling timing with heat as well. Personally, I don't care. Both are fun cars not racing/comp cars. If I do a track session, the tires are falling off before cooling/timing is getting...
  11. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

Only cage match id be having is with a Wendys manager.
  12. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

They are very close. In some ways Bridgestones are more consistent at a slight penalty in noise. Id use them on my own car.
  13. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

ITS 1.38.32 (OEM Tires) Me CTR 1.38.27 Potenza Sport Britt Casey
  14. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

My guess is they had issues with launches. The extra TQ down low would mean worse traction off the line. Also another factor is despite my FL5 making normal HP it could also be down on power compared to other Type Rs or the ITS we had made more power than normal. Regardless we know in real...
  15. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

They would not tell me but I can bet you it will happen.
  16. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

I mean it depends on where you are at in your car life cycle. What you value and what turns you on dictates the choice. I will say the Integra will be around for a while and will likely hold it's value but its not some serialized specialty car. You could get one a few years from now. An S2000...
  17. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

That one lap was the first time I ever drove the ITS and was only timed lap. Chances are it would be slightly faster. But my a slim margin.
  18. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

First year Type R numbers globally were 4800. They had 10k orders just for japanese market. So for 2024 you can bet they will increase production quite a bit. So yes betwee ln type R and Type S should be around 10k a year.
  19. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

I was not told a specific number, it will be limited and similar to Type R production so 3600-5000. They are locked in to lower production to start based on supply chain purchasing. They can expand production later in product lifecycle if needed.
  20. Integra exhaust

The exhaust swap and success in sound profile was also change in engine tuning. So you'd get the sound but would not have the sport+ pops and valve tuning is different on ITS. Youd have to do Hondata to fix it.
