2023 Civic Type R dimensions / measurements from scans @ Mid Ohio

Hi!
We were at MidOhio to see the new TypeR. We were talking with folks who are anxious to get their hands on one to scan it in and start designing performance parts when I remembered we brought a scanner of sorts. Here’s some of the results. More to come…gotta move them from one device to the other.
Wheel center to wheel center distance 1.8m is from one tire to the other. Measurements are +-2%

Great thinking! Can't wait to see your final provisions when having transferred over the rest of your scans.

Any measurements of vehicle width within those measurements you took? FK8 measures 73.9" at its widest area, so that is the number to beat.

The best width we could get is that 1.8m which is just about 71” so I’m fairly sure that is a bad number. I need to compile all the scans into one to try and get to more confidence.

who can I get in contact with to get the 3d model? I make rock guards for the 10th gen/FK8, i'd love to be able to make something at day 1 launch of the FL5

My kid did the scans. He’s 10 so…you can hit me up. [email protected] and we’ll figure out how to get them to you from there!
I don’t know if they’ll have the level of detail you need…but if you got a friend going to LA for the reveal, they could set it up!
