I actually went in and spoke to Honda Frisco was told to expect 15-20k mark up. Honda of McKinney told me the same thing.
15-20k is pretty damn crazy. Hopefully they won’t all be that high. I’ve talked to pretty much every dealer, and some seem to insinuate their markups might be less than that, but who knows.

On another note. The Si debuted October 19, 2021, and by November 30, 2022, people were starting to receive their cars. I wonder if we might be lucky enough to get that quick of a turnaround…

Oh dang. The guy I spoke with their said he has heard of other dealers talking about $15-20K but they were going to be closer to $10 or so. Interesting 🤔. This is all going to be a complete clown show.

You can't assume all cars are equal. Because rates are up and the used marker does crash, do you assume cars like the MK4 supra values will plummet? GT3 RS? SVJ?

Assuming the FL5 is indeed signiftncally more limited than the FK8 and is the LAST ICE R, using the FK8 as your refence is not accurate, they aren't 100% correlated in price action. Probably are mutal exclusive from each other IMO.

Time will tell, but price action for specific models eb and flow differently.
Used Cars and Collectible Cars are technically a different asset class. Personally, I would expect all car values to follow the down trend.

I would love to see that tbh. I would move on the M2 CS and other similar cars. But I doubt cars along the CS category dropping much. If you calculate the net tax and interest rate, the net "value" post financing will be the same IMO. I always calculate asset value based upon a 5 year discounted NPV. Factoring in forecasted net depreciation (or appreciation)

Obviously different for cash buyers, but who buys a $130k CAD car in cash (I wish I could).

I’m in contact with three different dealerships, all of which I first reached out to over a year ago. My impression is that I’m first on the list at all three but these things are never set in stone. Of the three, this is what I’ve been told:

Dealer 1: MSRP + $7500 ADM + $4000 dealer package
Dealer 2: MSRP + $4000 dealer package
Dealer 3: No commitment of any kind

I should add that none if them are taking deposits until they have orders/allocations in their system, and none of them know when that will be. This is true as of this week.

That's the thing with "MSRP" it doesn't include ADM's or packages in the most part. People need to understand MSRP doesn't mean what u think it does. The definition as a whole can be interrupted differently by different dealerships and by state.

Some that say "MSRP" they mean the FINAL sales price = MSRP. So no added ADM or packages.

Others refer to MSRP means base sales price prior to packages. So FINAL sales price = MSRP + packages.

The important term u want to confirm is FINAL SALES PRICE not MSRP.

You lost me with interpretation by dealer and state.
