Man! You have no idea, we used to give MSRP all day and people would be like “Absolutely not, that’s not a good deal.” Oh how the tables have turned, now MSRP is everybody’s favorite acronym
Yeah, it really is wild. Brings to life the statement that yesterday's price is not today's price.

Integra forums going nuts, 4k over what everyone thought...I dont think they'll sell nearly as many.

we were thinking of getting one if it was truly a luxury version of the CTR. We were thinking that it would be worth the extra money (expecting high 40s) to get one if it was really that special. However, when demoed, it didn't have enough of the luxury elements to draw us in, so we decided it wasn't an option at high 40s. Well... it's certainly NOT an option now at 52k. Sorry, Honda... i love you, but this isn't a match.

PM me if there are any dealer at or close to MSRP that are taking deposits. Non issues taking 1-2 years, just want to secure one.

I think they will but hope they won't.
I don't think it will do all that well in sales at this price point. The hype isn't there, so someone who may be on the fence about buying a CTR for 43+10k ADM would be looking right at the same price for the ITS if it's available for msrp. in fact, if the ITS DOESN'T have a raised msrp, it still will surely drive more people to accept the CTR with 10k and make things worse for us here... not better

if it turns out that the car creates some buzz, it could become a big seller, but right now, it's only going to be those who love the brand or are strictly looking for the most power at a mid-range price.

NOW... having said that... when Porsche raises their prices next year, that will help the ITS. But, introducing it now with the Porsche prices within reach, and many dealers offering the CTR for 53k... the ITS won't be the success that i had originally anticipated when first announced.

Thing is, initially they are only releasing 200 and dealers already have people on the waitlist so while not as hyped as the CTR, it's there.

taking deposits for what? you dropped in the middle of a discussion about the Acura ITS -- which could be had for msrp. If you are talking about the C Type R, then you should take a few minutes and read up in this thread about how it's prob not feasible to get one at msrp... and that many who have been on here for about a year now STILL have not secured one for even 5k ADM.

which car were you referencing?

yes, true... which i covered when mentioning the brand and power. Some people would MUCH rather be driving a car with an Accura badge than a Honda badge. Just the way things are... and given that the ITS is now more powerful than the honda, it's a big deal for them.

I hadn't realized it was only going to be 200 on initial release. thank you. yes, that puts it into a diff perspective... honda made the right choice, as i can indeed see it selling those 200 right away. I was thinking in terms more like 1-2k (like the CTR)... but that's a really low production number. that alone will make the car more special, plus this being the last hurrah for ANY ICE manual trans...

I just see that it would have been a better draw (for me too) if it had more of the luxury/special features -- which would have justified its higher price.

It appears Honda raised the MSRP on the FL5 by $900. @AspecR Can you confirm?

Gents, my dealer got 2 more VINs today, so dealers are getting more.

With that being said anybody that wants a SGP FL5 hit me up.
