2025 Type R brochure tire size?

See attached images. I have a 2025 Type R. The tires are the stock size, 265 30R19 Michelins. As you can see, the sidewalls of the tires that came on the car have a rounded sidewall/shoulder that angles in toward the car. Compare that to what is seen in all of the advertisements and brochures where you'll see a sidewall that is more squared-off. That's the look I want - squared off. Has anyone noticed this or changed their tires to match the advertisements? I'd love to know what you did.

If I go to a 275 or even 285, to push the sidewall/shoulder out, the sidewall will get taller due to the aspect ratio. Maybe that's okay; maybe that's what they did for the brochures. I'd simply like to know if anyone has been able to duplicate the look of the brochure and what they did. Thanks!

Brochures are heavily edited. You can't trust that brochures, advertisements, website photos are 1:1 to production ready, in person vehicles. In that picture, the tires don't even look real and look to be renders or heavily edited.

That being said, a different tire brand and model that has bulkier sidewalls might be able to replicate that look with the same tire size, especially all season tires and higher TW. Even some 200TW tires like RT660+, RE71RZ, etc have more bulkier sidewalls and more squared off.

@ctechauto Thanks, yeah, I agree that brochures are always edited. I’m just trying to achieve that look so I thought I’d see if anyone had been able to duplicate it or have ideas. Your tire suggestions are excellent and I’ll check them out. Really appreciate it!

Yes, going with a wider tire will bring that sidewall more upright. I went with a 35 series, 275 wide and it's perfect! Although lowering the car and going with a 18" wheel, 10" wide and 305's on it for track use.

I did a 285 on the TLX Type S and that looked even better!

Thanks @TypeRbuilder. I did think about the 35 series and have seen pictures of other cars with that setup. For me, the sidewall might be a little too tall but I see that many like it.

Can't tell too much by your actual photo, but just some thoughts. If you just got your R, and haven't driven it much, check to see the shipping blocks have been removed from the front struts. This was a big problem when the car was first released, as dealers weren't used to getting cars shipped with them.

Second, it's springs, so it'll settle a little in the first 500 mi. See other owners here who haven't lowered or changed wheel/tires and see if that is what you are looking for.

Third, marketing photos are like burger ads, they are edited and crafted to appeal. They probably can't put different equipment on it because thatll trigger a bait/switch lawsuit, but product photographers have ways to make anything look good. I'm 95% sure that image is a composite of a studio photo (same one used in dream shop, no reflections) with a random environment background.

Thanks @Nothing. I'm good with the height of the stance but will likely add wheel spacers. I'll definitely check to be sure the shipping blocks were removed. I haven't driven the car much in the few weeks I've had it but I haven't noticed anything odd.
