Quick update: I'm a firm believer in catch cans. I've taken A LOT of oil from them over the past few years, saving future issues with buildup and such, hopefully

So the first major upgrade, or preventative one (I'm big into that!) will be a Radium dual catch can setup.

Step 2: New ground kit all custom made

Step 3: thicker oil. I hate 0w anything. I run 5w/20 in the Type S and will, after the break in change, run Amsoil in this one too!

Not sure if you went through with the catch can, but I've heard really bad things about the FL5 kit. Two step performance actually doesn't sell them anymore as far as I remember. Though I'll have to dig on the exact problem they mentioned...

Let me know what you find....actually switching to the Improved Racing one. Wonder what the issue is?!

Found this: They determined the catch can is too restrictive causing blow by which is being forced to the turbo. And leaking fittings/o-rings?

The o ring thing sounds familiar, that's probably it then. I'm not sure if radium addressed it yet

So wednesday we'll have the PRL HVI intake in and titanium inlet pipe. Then later this week the Acuity shifter w/taller shift rod

Update:

Installed the PRL intake, Titanium inlet pipe, Acuity shifter, suede wheel, ADS from Type S and J's Racing tie bar!

ha...I do my own wheels. Forged. I have an OEM company I work with that does a fantastic job....

I can make ANYTHING: color, size....all custom. It's pretty cool and someone that I've built maybe a dozen sets with. All race proven (track use) and super light! nuff said, don't want to get in trouble on here

So many questions I want to ask, but "Trade Secrets" and all that, right?

There is one question maybe you can answer though...

Wheels Made in Japan ??? ... Made in USA ???

OK, that's two questions, but with one answer, I presume.

I suppose the "one" question is:

Soooo......long story, long: Back in 1991 I started messing with Imports, 91 Civic SI hatch, when import tuning was JUST starting to become a thing. I ran GUDE stuff and had an all motor, 1.6l stock engine tuned to run 12.1 1/4 mile times, full interior. All in my basement and garage, NEVER even coming close to ripping an engine apart! It was epic. Since then I've messed with EVERY car I've had, maybe not quite to that extent, but pretty close. The last one, the Type S TLX was a 11.7 car when I got rid of it. I did custom car audio, dealt with CDT and SJA industries solely and LOVED that stuff. Put together some award winning sound systems (SQ, not SPL) and on and on.

Anyway...I'm funny about stuff. Doing TONS of research, and usually hit it right on the head...

Back in 2016, after decades of just working and living day to day, I started something new: Bicycles! Why? Local bike shop lied to me about something, so I started my own biz: The Death Projects, LLC.

That morphed back into cars stuff with TDP Racing Industries. And the need for something unique. Wheels! They were too expensive. So I wanted to do my own thing, and have the fully custom. no one really did that without them being $5k or more for a set, mostly more. Everything was cookie cutter and I couldn't find what I wanted.

I reached out to one of my carbon wheel makers in Taiwan. Of which Taiwan makes some of the best bike frames, carbon wheels, etc in the world. They referred me to another company that makes OEM wheels for manufacturers around the world, but also smaller end user stuff like, well, me! BTW, the carbon bike wheels I made were wicked! All that started because I wanted a set of Mavic DMAXX sam hill wheels and couldn't get them here in the states, so I reached out to a clothing company I found online (Deadly Doodles), small and unique, of whom I loved their style of art, and commissioned them to make a graphic pattern for a set of wheels.

And I made and sold dozens of wheels over the months to come. THEY helped me find this place, I talked to them, got samples and have a few dozen sets out there, mostly for race applications, on the road and doing amazing! Light, strong and fully forged. And best of all: race proven!

Update:

-Paragon Brakes are almost set to install. Waiting on 350mm rotors as the 364 from the TLX (converted with new hats) might be a stretch. So to be on the safe side we are going with the standard size rotors to fit the 18" wheels better

-J's racing springs are here and waiting for install

-PRL Intercooler is on order as well as the Turbo pipe kit and rear motor mount

-JQ Werks Madtrace GEN2 wheel base and OMP SuperQudro wheel are on the way as well!

-Wheels are about 3 weeks away, 305/35-18 Kenda UHP Max+ rubber is waiting those!
