Auto body / mechanic shops for Type R (near Orange County, CA)

FL5 was hit and ran while parked. Damage to the rear driver-side door, quarter panel, bumper, and wheel. Also some possible suspension damage.

Anyone have recommendations for auto and mechanic shops in the OC / LA area?

Looking for a place where the quality is really high, and even better if they work on a lot of JDM type vehicles.
Fighting for OEM parts with insurance is a big one for me too.

Would appreciate the communities input on this one. Will take any recommendations.

OEM is always a battle, california insurance law allows use of aftermarket and used parts as long as it performs and fits the same. The shop is a big factor in how willing they are to reject it when it isn't like OEM.
Fortunately due to low volume nature of FL5 there isn't really supply for aftermarket/used body parts - maybe except headlights - so in that case there's a chance it'll default to covering OE parts. If bracketry and clips, etc nonstructural behind the body are available, it has a low chance of being rejected so your next option is to pay the difference to upgrade to OEM. Maybe if there's a damaged part you would upgrade to your preferred aftermarket, you can take the credit and offset other parts to OEM, and pay for the mod so it doesn't feel like you lost out. Rear quarter sounds like a big pain.

I'm not in LA/OC so I don't have shop recs for you. See which body shop your local dealer works with. They should be fairly competent and may have negotiated hourly rates with your insurance. Good luck!

I have never been to autowave in Huntington but they specialize honda Acura and I've spoken with their guys on the phone several times and it seems like they know exactly what they are doing, worth investigating
