Hey guys

New part for the community we thought would work really well for those guys swapping inlet pipes and want to keep heat soak to a minimum. Our thermal gasket goes between the inlet pipe and turbo to cut down on any heat transfer to better manage heat soak on these cast pieces.

We are also including one free with every PRL or Axion inlet ordered on our site.

These are due to ship end of this week, so pre order asap.

I installed mine a couple of weeks ago. I have it installed with the 27won turbo inlet pipe. All is working well and the gasket fit perfectly. I'm not sure if it changed anything, haven't had time to get measurements.

Thank you for the feedback, you should see some help when you install that inlet as they love to heat soak due to it being cast material

Curious about the lack of ears to help align the gasket when putting the inlet back on. Its cramped in there and the factory gasket with ears definitely help.

The bolts align everything, the fitment is perfect

I can confirm the bolt and stud align the gasket. I don't recall ears on the OEM, I think it was a rubber ring recessed into a cutout on the inlet pipe. the 27won gasket had no ears either, it was paper thin but same shape as Axion.

The original does have ears. They're not perfect either honestly. I had to manually adjust them when attaching my prl intake a couple of times before I felt it was a perfect fitment. The original gasket ears could have been a little bit better developed. I think ears would help. It's a tight spot.

On the FL5 the factory inlet pipe gasket has little ears/tabs that help keep it in place. The 1.5T does not have a similar gasket, they just have an O-ring that is used with the plastic inlet pipe.

This thermal gasket Axion is offering is for the 1.5T.

Sorry, to clarify I meant the FL5 which is what our shop primarily works on. FK8/FL5 definitely has the ears. I should have checked the forum it was posted in first 😀
