Bumper repair after accident

Hello!

My vehicle was bumped in a hit-and-run accident in a parking lot, but I was able to track down the other party. My vehicle is literally only 3 weeks old.

Other party is willing to work with me to repair it and I was thinking of replacing the entire front bumper, lower grill assembly, and upper grill assembly. The bumper has chips in the paint as well as a crease where it was struck. The lower grill has some chipping of the gloss black. The upper front grill has some scratching on the corner of it.

You can also see that the bumper is misaligned where the bumper, front fender, and hood meet as well.

Does this seem like something reasonable to do?

I was able to source a painted bumper from Honda directly as well...

First thing you need to do is go to a reputable body shop and get a free Estimate to Repair. When you get that in hand you will be able to see the full initial cost of what is needed. The mis alignment might mean there is further unseen damage that can’t be seen until it’s disassembled, so know that the free estimate might mean there will be further cost to repair back to pre accident condition

You should also consider filing a police report as well to cover yourself.

My wife had a similar accident with her '24 Civic Touring - misalignment, scratches, dents, creases in the bumper cover and grill.
A local body shop ordered a pre-painted bumper cover, a new grill and new plastic mounting hardware.
Nothing else was damaged underneath, so it all went back together easily.
The other driver's insurance covered it all, so the car was only out of use for a few days.
