Hey gang,

I am shocked to see that since owning my 23 si, I am getting over 40mpg. I drive in sport mode all the time as it helps with the rev hang. I would say I drive 80 percent conservative and 20 percent throttle happy. Premium fuel only of course. How is everyone else doing ?

I use 93 (no 91 around me) and doing over 90 percent highway will get 50 to 53 mpg staying around 60 to 70 mph.

If I'm in the city, low to high 20s depending on traffic.

39-40mpg on the highway, 30-33 in the city on the original Goodyear Eagle Sport All Season. Had one memorable run along the PA Turnpike and I-76 drafting off a bunch of UPS tractor-trailers that netted 51 mpg. I've just replaced the OEM tires with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 and while the grip is increased the gas mileage is down 3-4 mpg. I'm running 93 octane, mostly from Costco.

In the fall and spring with no AC on I can get 55 mpg going to work and maybe 35 going home. Best tank mpg was 42. With summer and traffic I'm averaging 38-40 in town.

Road trips are a killer and I'm at 35-37 mpg

I've been averaging 35, but I drive at 80MPH all the time on the highway. I noticed anything over 70 RPMs start getting up there. Anything lower than 80MPG on the highway here, you'll get ran over lol..

During the summer I was averaging 32 or so with AC on full blast all the time. Now that it's starting to cool down I can drive with the windows down and average between 36-38. Highway drives get me into the 40s.

26mpg while living and working in Toronto core, but it's an Elantra N with 6MT.

‘23 Si bought new: averaging 33.2 with a best of 38.6. I’ll take it. 🙂 This is calculated via the tripmeter and gas pump gallons. The gauge readout has been optimistic for me.

They got insanely loud the last 2,000-3,000 miles I had them on the car. Traction faded proportionally with the increase in noise.
Made a run on the new Michelins last weekend along I-76/81/78 between Harrisburg and Allentown, PA where I averaged 46.7mpg at an average speed of 73mph.

When I had my Si with full bolt ons and a Phearable tune, I still got 36mpg with the car at around 300whp. It was a blast to drive but the chassis was asking for more, thus I traded it in for a Type R. Loved my Si though and love my Type R even more. Definitely lost the awesome fuel economy with the Type R, but I'll take the tradeoff for the incredible performance!
