If you pause the video at 44 seconds in, does the infotainment look new to you? Appears to be the updated unit on 2025+ Civics.
The 2023-2026 Type R's are identical. The 2025+ non Type-R Civics have an updated infotainment unit.

Very smart move. They can make a lot more money this way than selling a modded car.A bit more info. Goal is to sell the HRC developed parts so people can build their own HRC FL5 as soon as possible.

To further your point, the parts will definitely not be cheap. If they sold factory HRC cars, they’d be ridiculously expensive and they’d sell so few that the whole development exercise would be nearly a pointless waste of time, money and effort. It’s definitely a good thing that they’re going to sell the parts separately.Very smart move. They can make a lot more money this way than selling a modded car.
From the Japanese website, they have completely discontinued the red interior which was way cheaper than the racing black package. I’m glad I got the last batch of red interior here in Australia. Pretty sure if there’s a facelift, it will be much more expensive then you add the new parts in, I’m gonna go broke. At least with my current car, I’ll be less broke hahaTo further your point, the parts will definitely not be cheap. Adding to the fun speculation of all this, I sense a new N-Ring record is in the works.![]()
I’m happy with just the splitter, wing, wheels and exhaust haha. The fenders are a bit too racy lolI've been eagerly awaiting the new fenders, despite hot fugly they look I kinda want them - especially if I can never have the ARTA kit
The racing black was likely much more expensive simply because they were special and not churned out in the same numbers as the normal red interior. If they make the black interior standard, then I wouldn’t expect it to cost more. From the Japanese website, they have completely discontinued the red interior which was way cheaper than the racing black package. Even if they made black available, I would still pick red.The racing black was likely much more expensive simply because they were special and not churned out in the same numbers as the normal red interior. If they make the black interior standard, then I wouldn’t expect it to cost more.
