Hello All,

I will be looking for a tuning option this summer. I know I will be sticking with Hondata. In the past I have tuned my FG2 si with flashpro remote tune and my VB wrx with remote tune via Accessport.

I have the option to go to IMW since it is only about 1.5 hours from me and get a Dyno Tune. If I do a remote tune it would probably be Phearable, or maybe Jester. My question is which should I ultimately choose? I dont really see much of a benefit to a dyno tune if the car is going to remain close to stock with only a few bolt ons. I do not plan to upgrade the turbo or run anything other than 93 in it. I know for the dyno tune, I should at least be able to get my ECU unlocked while I am there which would same some time and hassle. I am just not sure if a dyno tune is necessary, my FG2 ran about 70-80,000 miles on a remote tune with zero issues.

The other question I had, and this is a dumb one I am sure, I have never had anything dyno tuned. I'm under the impression I will still need to buy an accessport for my car? I have never read anywhere regarding what is necessary for an actual in-person dyno tune.

Since Drob (IMW) is near you. I'd rather do everything in one shot. Jailbreak + dyno tune + the experience.

x2 on this. Plus you'll get the extra performance.

You'll need a flashpro mini for the tuning.

Accessibility is key, Jester is my preferred tuner but since DRob is relatively close and you can get it all done in one stop it just makes sense to go there.

Experience > location. A good remote tune beats a bad dyno tune any day. However, you have the easy button to press being that you are located in PA. Let Derek at Innovative Motorworks get you taken care of.
