2018 VA WRX STI,
I think this is the same news article that was posted about a month ago. The date does say Sept 22nd, but I'm assuming maybe the article is just being reaffirmed or edited.
it's for October, last month Yorii assembly plant (寄居完成車工場) plant utilization was reduced by 40%, for October, the utilization rate also planned to reduce by 30%. it's quite normal Toyota experience the same problem. The Estimated time of shipment(vehicle departed from factory) is the same for Type R&ehev, "more than half year". No idea what's the production volume for NA region tho

Soon there’ll be a new bet on seeing the first USDM FL5 (non-demo unit) at a dealership before April, 2023?

Type R volume is so low I dont know that this would even have an impact. In other words a model that is 1k per month might not be impacted like one that is 30-40k per month…

To be fair, those tables are most likely only referring to Japan, and obviously people are already taking delivery of their cars in Japan, so we know that doesn’t even apply to everyone.

it’s total overall output.
FL5 is only made there in that plant.

Id doubt they would cut production on something that low volume. Its the heavy hitters (big production) that will suffer.

What I'm saying is their "production plans" which vary month to month were already cut a month ago, for this month. This is simply just a continuation of last months cut. Not cut by 40% then cut by another 40%. As OP suggests they are possibly cutting production "even more" which thats not what this article is saying as it mentions production Plans for October.

Yes it means they are building less cars, but it doesn't mean their production in comparison to last month has dropped.

Also, this likely only applies to all the big production cars, not likely to the low volume models (type r) as other people have already mentioned in this thread.

I'm not stating facts, just my take. I work in production in the Marysville Auto plant so I watch this happen daily and have some understanding on how "production plans" are affected by reductions.
