I would assume not, since your poll results show that people like various MTFs. I guess that doesn’t mean they’re using them at the moment necessarily.

i was getting a moaning/growling noise when making sharp turns at low speeds and full steering lock. Changed the MTF today and no more noise and buttery smooth shifts. Used Honda MTF.

the honda fluid works well just doesn't last very long. Needs to be changed every 15k to maintain the silky shifts.

Yeah, I agree with your assessment of the Honda MTF being quite decent, but doesn’t have great longevity. People’s use cases will vary too, which is why there are varying opinions on it. It’s working fine for me so far. No complaints. But when the time comes I will likely switch to Amsoil.

I’ll be using GM Syncromesh because I bought enough for 2 fluid changes a couple of years ago when I had my Accord. I just found it recently after completely forgetting about it. My FL5 has 10k on the clock now, I guess I should change it fairly soon?

Recently switched to Amsoil 75w-90 transaxle and trans fluid. It’s different from the Amsoil manual synchromesh fluid. So far so good! Wasn’t getting any grinds but 3rd and 4th were feeling “odd” and bit crunchier than usual after 8k miles on the original Honda MTF. Both 3rd and 4th are silky smooth now so I can say it’s had a positive effect!

i had Torco MTF in there a couple drain and fills ago so maybe there was some residual in there still effecting the LSD. I did not like the Torco fluid. Too slippery for the synchros it seems. had problems with getting locked out of 1st gear and others at times.

kind of surprised so many people recommend Torco. maybe that was before they changed their formula from GL-4 to GL-5.
