With knowing that the FK8 & FL5 share the same power platforms, minus some slight differences (most notably the Type R Badged Heat Sink ? on the turbo inlet), does anyone have any feedback or ideas as to if all, some or most aftermarket engine & transmission mods will be able to swap over between models?!

Here just wondering because I have a BNIB PRL P600 left over from my FK8 build and I’m deciding whether to keep it and slap that on the FL5. 🤔🧐😁

Fact we have now is.. fk2 fk8 and FL5 all same engine.
Inlet pipe is sharable between fk2 and fk8...and
P600 is drop in for both fk2 and fk8.
So chances are.. it will fit FL5.

But on the exhaust side.. downpipe has different mounting between fk2 and fk8.. so I don't think fl5 will have same mounting so dp fp should be new.

I think intake and exhaust parts will be different, but very minor. The packaging is different compared to FK8 as you have a much larger gap now between the radiator and turbo / inlet pipe.

downpipe, and FSTB both cross over.
FTSB and brake brace fitment confirmed with a bit of “modding” to the battery cover. I’ll share pics soon but think I might have it powder coated red first :)
