Bumping this thread instead of starting a new one but does the FL5 Auto Rev Match still over revs? Curious if you "accidentally" go to a lower gear but still have your clutch pressed.

I don’t think the rev match works if you moneyshift.

Moneyshifts if clutched is release... But if you are actually still stepping on the clutch and the Auto Rev Match activates going to the lower gear, will it over rev or is the Auto Rev Match system smart enough to not over rev. Obviously, if clutch is released then yeah... moneyshift. lol

Yeah I don’t think it will rev to redline. I’ve never tried it but I remember seeing a youtuber complain that it didn’t auto rev match downshift one time since it was going to be close to redline.

Right. It wouldn’t make sense for it to auto-rev into a potentially catastrophic situation and defeat the rev limiter. Keep in mind that money shifting is when the trans is over-driving the motor. So, if the clutch is in, then all that would happen is the motor would simply hit the rev limiter (at least in theory). Not sure why anyone would complain about that? Pffft…internet lizard people, I guess.🤣
