Help shift knob😭

I did they just ordered a new one i dont know how that fixes it

Don’t know why they ordered a new one, they just need to take it apart and put back together unless something is broken. Id have them adjust it otherwise live with it until they replace it.

Use a plastic interior panel pry tool to separate the metal (silver) clip from the shift knob. Straighten the knob and then tighten the locking nut with a 14 mm wrench. Push the snap ring back up to the knob and you are done. Pretty easy to do.

Yeah, I highly doubt anything is broken. There’s really nothing in there that can break. Weird the dealership decided to order a new shift knob without taking a look first. Someone at the dealership apparently wants the “broken” knob as a fun paperweight or wants it for their car for free.
