@isosa28 There was a OTA update for the 25 year models that provided video streaming and the play store.

No update for the 24 and below models, is there anyway to get this working on the older models?

You will need the following first,
A samsung phone
USB A to USB A cable
USB A to Type C adapter.

First, make sure you have the developer mode enabled. Change the USB mode on the dash to adb mode on the USB.

Second, Go to developer mode and toggle USB debugger then change the USB to media mode, then connect your phone and it will ask you to open the Smart Switch app, open it and click OK on the radio, that will open the web app for you.

Note, download the Smart Switch app if you don't have it.
Also, enable wifi on the radio and connect to a Hotspot.

I have built a website using web USB and Android Open accessory.
With the website you could open 3 more hidden app.

1. Contact app
2. Music app
3. Calendar app

Setup:
enable adb, ptp on head unit
Connect to the head unit with USB OTG and USB A to A (same as isosa28 method)

Usage:
open the link on android chrome

Press this 4 button to start.

1. Switch to AoA
   • select the head unit
2. Connect
   • select the head unit again (now it has a different name)
3. Register HID
4. Report Descriptor

press other button to try it out.
for the hidden app, use the last 3 Meta button

Hi everyone, Im not sure if I can help at all or if possible someone can help me.

Ive got a JDM FL5 Type R with the 9" infotainment. Im not sure if theres anything I can do to pull files ect but if there is let me know.

Equally I've got a problem myself. The unit is in Japanese display only, with no option to change language.

Ive seen some guys in Malaysia have been able to change the firmware to another version that enables english, Im wondering does anyone have a file of the OEM firmware from a US or EU FL5 that I can try flash by USB to my own and see if it gets me anywhere
