Anybody have their CV axle pop out during the install?

I was able to secure it back but just wondering if there’s anything to be concerned about. It drives like nothing ever happened. Just not sure if I should take it somewhere with an actual lift to get a better look at it

Also, how did you torque the center nut on the tophat?

I got a pass through socket and was only able to hand tighten it

Yes, very common, especially the driver's side axle on the transmission side.

The only thing you really need to monitor is if when it popped out, if any transmission fluid leaks out depending how far it popped out. If any did, clean and monitor. Nothing overly concerning unless you have a massive leak which may indicate the axle seal got damaged when it popped out or when you put the axle back in. Then you'd need to inspect the axle seal, and then top off any transmission fluid you did lose.

Also yes, top hat nut should always be hand tightened as much as possible - use the pass through socket and lock it with the allen key to prevent rotating the strut shaft. You technically also can use an impact, but only if you know exactly how much torque it would apply or else it could snap the strut shaft (no more than 40ft/bs (off top of my head)). And definitely dont sit there and ugga dugga it for a long time.

No fluids that I saw, but I do plan to monitor it.
From my understanding transmission fluid does not run through the axle on this car. Axle is just greased.

Just monitor. Its happened to us before where it did leak trans fluid. Other times its popped out nothing happened.
