How’s the difference in nvh?

Curious to hear the NVH increase too... I looked high and low for something like this months ago because I didn't want to have downtime window welding the stock motor mount.

Right now I have a CTR rear motor mount sitting waiting to go on when I do my first oil change. All I'm looking for is a bit tighter feel to my daily driver without much comfort being compromised.

I'll probably throw the CTR mount in and see how I like it, then grab this if I end up wanting more.

I am the same I want to keep it a comfortable daily but more sporty feel. It tightened it up a but nvh is not much more at all. Install was straight forward and they slid right in perfectly. I think for the price compared to the solid ones it was perfect. For daily and spirited driving. If you track more often then maybe consider hasport or 27won but no complaints here at all. Install about 30 mins.

Are the Si and Type R Perrin RMM Inserts the same?

Yes the Insert works on the 1.5T Manual cars, Just not the CVT.

Just installed the perrin inserts today. Ac off, cant tell difference as far as nvh. Ac on is a different story (at idle). Hopefully they break in a bit after a few hundred miles. Shifting feels a bit better and driveline slop has drastically improved. I didnt get a chance to tool around with traction control off. Not sure if it helped with wheel hop.

it has pretty much eliminated the wheel hop i was getting with just the stock mount.
still getting broken in though so i'll have to wait for spring to see if it still vibrates bad with the AC on.

Hopefully Perrin won't mind me talking a bit about the CTR and Si motor mounts just in general, within the context of no inserts, inserts, and windo weld...

I did the CTR swap today and while I noticed a tiny bit more cabin noise (it sounds to me like the startup "bark" is louder and you hear the exhaust more) there's hardly any increase in the V and H of NVH even with the A/C running. I would say 100% perfectly DD-able, drove with windows up, windows down, A/C on and off. No loss of cabin comfort, but definitely keeps everything more planted feeling. Lighting up the tires in 2nd is much easier, previously my "aggressive but not flat out" shift would get one chirp, now I can get a bit more of a continuous screech that traction control will kick in to stop. I doubt it performs as well as a Perrin insert (or Hasport) but absolutely no question this will be the most comfortable "performance" option.

The difference between Si and CTR mounts is pretty noticeable:

CTR is the one that is not dirty.

I have access to a durometer at work and I did some quick measurements on the CTR mount, granted it wasn't the right shape for the probe to 100% accurately measure but it will be ballpark. The big thick parts of it are 40A duro, and the little insert that is glued in is 50A.
So this means that it is less aggressive than both windo-weld and the Perrin inserts. I will test the Si mount at work at some point but I can almost guarantee you that's 40A.

Windo weld is spec'd at 55A-60A:

And Perrin's inserts are 70A, but importantly the Perrin will have a slightly larger air gap than windo welded mounts which are basically 100% sealed. This is so you can, y'know, actually install the Perrin inserts. Can't really say how much of a performance/NVH difference that would make.

But more interestingly this brings up a bit of an odd point: an Si mount with Perrin inserts will have a greater ratio of 70A to 40A material in them as compared to a CTR Mount with Perrin inserts, so it stands to reason that the Si motor mount with inserts might actually be a hair firmer than the CTR mount similarly equipped.

So the soft to firm would (hypothetically) go something like this:
