Doesn't look like VitViper is selling the KTuner stage 1 package any more. Is there any other vendor that has a similar package? If not, is there a vendor that sells without sales tax and free shipping to California?

We ship for free and do not charge any tax to CA. Please note that we just ran out of Ktuner units but should have more soon.

We offer a custom tune bundle as well.

As far as "Stage" bundles, stay tuned.

Be advised... Vit's Stage tunes are locked to the car the tuner was sold to when the bundle was purchased. It's not like a basemap... and the locked nature of the Stage 1 map isn't just that you can't make adjustments. It's a 1 car only tune, to the benefit of the original buyer.

Man, I got Vit to e-mail me back asking for my KTuner serial number 2 weeks ago, but no reply from him since. Looks like his entire website is gone now - getting worried that I bought this V1.2 from him for nothing. I could've gotten it much cheaper from another source, but went with Vit for the include tune. I've been using his Stage 1 on my V2 for months now, and really don't want to have to go back to a basemap when I switch to the V1.2.

His tunes are locked to your ktuner dongle Serial Number. There is a sticker on it with it. However, the ECU/software part numbers need to match to be able to use a stage 1 file on another SI.

you could try reverse engineering the file to see if you can inject the new SN or change the SN on your ktuner dongle using factory programming tools but Ktuner wouldn't like that lol. but knowing ktuner the sn is probably encrypted using an unkown checksum that you will need to figure out while also having a checksum on the file itself that will also need figured out. Doubt it's plain text. possible but it's easier to do it through them lol

Yeah, I tried to open the tune in NotePad hoping that I could change the Serial Number assigned to it, but it opens in machine language. I doubt that KTuner would allow me to swap the serial numbers on my two KTuner units.

KTuner did mention that they were in talks with Vit to bring his Stage 1 and 2 maps to KTuner as part of the tunes offered with every unit. I don't know if this will happen or not, but with Vit defaulting on his obligations to his remaining customers, it sounds like this is my only hope. I'm rooting for you, @KTuner !

Count me in for this as well @KTuner! I was so disappointed that Vit exited the business the way he did. Having his Stage maps available in KTuner would be a major incentive to purchase the product, IMO.

Yeah... a few months back before I ended up bumping up my ignition and doing some data logs myself... I e-mailed them and asked if I could just purchase a stage 1 tune a la carte, as I hadn't bought my V2 from them and didn't know of the deal back when I bought it from RV6 during the day after Thanksgiving sale. They wouldn't sell. I figured me throwing them some money for e-mailing me a file locked to me would be worth their time, but no go. Hell, I wouldn't mind flashing to see what all the fuss is about. All I ever really wanted was a little more power up top.
