Do you have any pictures of those seat covers installed on the car? How well do they fit? Do you have a link please? Thanks.

I don't like using seat covers, but if they're cheap enough, I would throw them on whenever I bring the car in for service.

I don't expect anything grand from them, but I'll be doing the install when the car comes back from ceramic coating.

My wife loved it. She named it. I paid for it… it’ll most likely go to her. I plan to snag a black revised R for myself.

From afar, I adored the red ones. I was never keen on purchasing one. I was mid hunt for black (at or below MSRP; but, had no dice in socal), when my wife sends me this picture. It was two days of offer denials before I even considered this one.

Odd to me these smug salesman always laugh, as if it’s an implausible ask, yet it happens. Long story short, I hit it off with the GM and purchased this RR ‘26 CTR. We added the lifetime oil services, 8/120k, wheel tire, dent, key coverages and the rest was history.

HondaCare is a ripoff in CA.

Out of state dealers are not allowed to sell it in CA, and the CA stealerships sell it for $3k or more

But if you know how to mess with HTML, you can get it from out of state dealers for about $1k

I got the 8/100 for $900

note that you can cancel the HondaCare and purchase from out of state. I did it for my dad when he was convinced to purchase one by the sleazy salesman.

I recently purchased a 3D printer for unrelated purposes, but glad I did, came in handy. Thanks to the gracious community, I was able to print some rock guards. Learned a lot in the process.

I've grown so accustomed to broadway mirrors and/or wide angles, I chose to kill two birds, w/ one stone. I purchased a dash camera mirror. With simple spare parts, the mirror itself (if the need arose), could be moved easily from one vehicle to another. Attempting the install tomorrow.

I found the wide angle rear view mirror useless in the FL5. all you see on the sides is the interior of the car, and out the rear hutch everything looks so much smaller (at least with the Suma rearview mirror). I returned mine.

though I love their tinted wide angle side view mirrors.

I'll look into this. I didn't pay much. But those numbers are still a hug savings. I was at 17xx and 799 for lifetime il changes.

Just wanted to give the 3d print a shot. Nothing more. I ended up purchasing some OE style mud guards and knock off megachips.

I would not let a dealer (or any shop) change my oil, search for horror stories here.

Also, they will only change at maintenance minder intervals. way too long. and I believe a filter every other change.

Honda does not care if it does not last past 120,000 miles, as they either get to sell you a new car or get paid for replacing the engine.

The accepted recommendation for first oil change is anywhere from 600 to 3,000 miles (some do both) yet some say need break-in oil for more miles and change once at 1,500 to 3,000). then change every 4,000-5,000 miles. (3,000 if hard use). also change the manual transmission fluid once or twice in the first several thousand miles.

I used to use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, until they changed the formula (due to destruction of oil to gas in the Arabian Gulf) I just purchased Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 for the upcoming oil change

The Honda OEM filter used to be the lowest grade Fram before Fram parent company went belly up

I use the best filter with highest filtering efficiency at 20 microns. (used to be Fram Ultra Synthetic. but Fram parent went belly up. new ownership might only keep the name, not the quality... BTW Amsoil which also used to be one of the best filters was made by Fram parent company, and possibly Mobil 1 oil filters, so same caveat applies.)

I now use Purolator One (better efficiency than the "better" grade Boss)

I use the ValvoMax system. not a drop of oil (other than the filter)

I plan to handle the majority of maintenance myself. I do commute a lot, this will rack up miles fairly quickly. Estimating oil changes to be once a month. With OT, I’m anywhere between 2400 to 3000 miles a month.

I might buy one of those daily’s for the daily to keep INS. premium and mileage down.

Yes, the WB is plenty bright enough during the day. It’s really a great unit.

Postponed the seat cover install and pics, detailer just finished up. Shuffling the kids off to Bible study as I type.

Seat cover initial fit is horrible. They feel comfortable to sit in, but the fit is a visual eyesore. I hope they relax pretty soon. haha. The Install and removal is a matter of minutes, so that's a big plus. For $35 I can live with it. The next con, was the cheap velcors. The passenger side does not stay fastened.

I'm also working on a cool little 3d print. If you guys like it, I'd appreciate the support.

What I couldn't live with is the thought of my kids ruining the red carpet and floor mats prematurely. My marketplace find, oem black highwall mats, tie it all in visually.

If you don't like these seat covers in the long run, you should try the sweidit seat covers that can look really close to OEM seats

I'm fine with these at $35. They feel fine driving, it's just a commuter car anyway. BUT, big but; I'm not trying to run it or the materials into the ground. I'm an avg. build daddy on the go. I can slip these covers off quickly at a cars and coffee, or flex the as configured dad mode. haha

They don't look too bad for "service mode"! If they can simply be slip on/off on days the car needs servicing, definitely a contender, especially at the price point.
