Hi,

I have installed Radium coolant tank.

1. Any idea why I see "air" in the middle of the side tube vs. air at the top only? Like, it should show the level of coolant.
- I looked inside, the coolant level is in the middle of tank. I should add a bit of coolant. Per Radium, the side tube should show 60% liquid and 40% air.
- Maybe during the drive the liquid moves and gets into top side of the tube from inside?

2. I also see small sign of leak. It might be from the cap not sealed properly? Or maybe top part that is designed to release any excess liquid.

Appreciate your thoughts before I reach out to Radium support.

So the sight tube don’t worry it is just sloshing around. On the cap side I would verify the o ring seal on the bottom of the bolted on cap housing.

Thanks. I clearly remember placing the o ring seal there based on the instructions.
Maybe it's a manufacturing defect? I'll mention it to the Radium support.

I also do have some signs of leakage, but it's just limited to what you see. I'm surprised the seal in the middle of your tank is not green. Mine has what seems to be signs of leaks but it does not really, no signs dripping down the tank. If you see dripping signs down the side of your tank, would definitely hit up Radium, their customer service is amazing

Sounds like I should write to support. I saw few drops on the side from that top part.

As for the middle part, I followed AHC Garage video and applied Hondabond. It was a great suggestion by them. I feel like the middle part is super sealed with Hondabond.

Oooh interesting that’ll be a good fix. Too lazy currently but will definitely do that in the future

Unfortunately they've engineered a coolant reservoir with far too many potential fail points. I too had a radium coolant tank on my last type R, and likely wouldn't purchase this product again because of the constant need to chase leaks.

I was originally going to go with the Radium tank, but after reading reviews about them leaking, I ended up going with Mishimoto. Hopefully I don't have any issues with it.

I haven’t seen any leaks on mine but I’ve never checked near the cap. I’ve also used hondabond on mine and the paper gasket has slight green hue from the Honda coolant.

What would be your choice if not Radium?
