The Dapper Driver's 2025 Satin Black Civic Type R Build

Hey everyone,

Collected my 2025 Black Civic Type R back in March. This is my first JDM, I went through most of the forum to get an idea of what I want to do to the car. I will take this project slowly, and learning along the way.

My plan is Te37s, springs, carbon bits inside and out, cooling, intake, exhaust, and mods that increase the enjoyment of driving. Not looking to add much more power, as I have another car for that.


First time seeing the car prior to collection

First step was adding heat blocking tint, and Xpel Stealth that gives it a satin look, my 992 is also black. So wanted something a bit different than gloss black, I kept all the original gloss parts (non paint) in gloss, really happy with the outcome

Lucky to have a local group of 20 friends that all picked up CTRs, a few photos with a friends CTRs

Aeroflow Dynamics Overlays Headlight tint, CTR Logos, and a few other bits

A knee pad

Red Carbon Mirror Caps, and Hood Vent from Create Carbon

Will update the thread when new parts come in and get installed

Nice, are you planning on doing any heat management mods? Oil cooler, intercooler, etc?

Edit: I read your post. What kinds of cooling have you run in your other cars previously? Wondering how you beat the SA heat.

Haven't done any cooling mods on my other cars as there was no issue, except for my F80 M3 that I did heat exchanger/ intercooler. Other than that, the other cars didn't have heating issues.

I live in Jeddah, therers a bunch of them all over the country. Car culture here is quite big.

Nice! I used to live in Dhahran some 20 years ago when I was in High School. Car culture has always been big there. Glad to see they have the FL5 there

The Eastern Region has the best and biggest car community for sure.
