@Cornercarver What electric pump do you use? Sounds super handy. I may have to get one.

Recommended is 35 in front, 33 lbs. in the rear for a 2018 Type R.
I run 35 all around, but that's me.

For reference, running the OEM stock Continental's and stock 20" wheel setup.

I doubt tire brand will affect torque steer. It will affect turn-in, ride, grip, wet handling, etc.

Here is the weird thing about tires: Just because a tire is 'better' doesn't mean you will automatically like the feel of it.

Before I traded in my '17 SI, I replaced the stock Goodyear tires with some much better Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber. Felt very different. Felt more cushioned, but somehow felt more numb and less sharp on turn in. Bottom line, they were fine, but I wasn't as happy with them as I thought I would be.

Which is why I just threw a full set of Continentals on again for $ 1,400 versus ponying up the almost $ 2K for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. No matter how well the Michelin are rated and even with a tread warranty. So maybe cheaper in the long run.

Continental on their Extreme Contact 6:

'Tread warranty? Yeah we guarantee you will chew through tread like a locust.'

Yeah, I figured there’s a bunch of different options, but I like to get stuff that is pro-tested and certified by the CivicXI community :)

Just looked in Amazon where I bought it - showing unavailable.
But the company has a newer model. Showing $ 35.98 discounted form $ 50.

It is an AstroAl Tire Inflator Air Compressor Portable Air Pump for Car Tires. Has an LED light. And extra attachments so you can use it on bikes, etc. Looks functionally similar, but I liked mine, which has a cool looking heat sink. Of course, now it comes in blue or red not just yellow. As if we care.
Description says it does not need cooling. So that is better than mine, which gets hot after use, so you don't want to grab the heat sink instead of the handle.

At least the one I bought a while back is still working well, so the company seems to make a good product.

@Cornercarver I bought the one that @mbaapk recommended a couple of posts back. Your description sounds very much like what I bought. Of course I bought the yellow one (the least expensive) because why would I pay $10 more for just a different color? But if they had a carbon fiber version, THAT I could understand paying more for…but it would probably have ADM and a wait list.🤣

Thanks again for the info! Good to know AstroAI makes a good, reliable, product.

You're welcome.
Did I mention that the JDM version of this pump - that we can't get - has a toggle switch for nitrogen, which it separates internally from regular air? Just using it to pump your tires reduces un-sprung weight by 12 pounds and causes all tires to instantly reseal and re-inflate when punctured.
I just went for the basic model. You know, the one that actually exists.

I think the wheel offset could impact it a bit. It certainly has for me. With the factory wheel set up, I would experience on-turns but not really straight. Either way, the wheels changed it a bit.

I noticed Torque steer with or witout spacers. I now have 15mm spacers all around on stock suspension. I mostly feel torque steer when trying to accelerate when passing a car. Yes I have 1 hand on the wheel. But its enough for me to write about it. Past cars I owned did not feel as if I will spin out
Could this be the Lane Keep Assist vibrating the steering wheel as you changed lane ? I tried to overcome the Lane Keep Assist intervention by using the turn signal prior to changing lane so that the car it is a deliberate act from me.

Oh. The US version of this pump only guarantees 78% nitrogen. The Japanese have everything figured out
