I wonder if hondata has updated the tune at all to try and clean this up. Or maybe it's intentional to keep the AFR rich during that sudden transition.

I hope so, running it without knowing it's happening could be detrimental.

Couldn't tell ya to be honest. I'm not sure if it's intentional or more just a normal momentary reaction to the sudden changes. Also, with the Hondata tune the commanded fuel pressure is only 2,600psi vs 2,900psi on the factory settings so that's probably part of why the duty cycle goes so high. It would probably be better with a higher commanded fuel pressure.

That's why I never blindly upload any tune and just trust that everything is running correctly. Lots of people do that and have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. They just see advertised dyno results, upload a tune, and then assume everything is great because the car feels faster. You would never know what the fuel pump is doing, along with lots of other things, just by driving it.

I'm going to guess the issue is related to elevation but if think they would think about and cover for that, that or a pressure leak on the user end?

I liked ktuner because I had a live screen showing my trims and knock etc right there constantly. Hondata, I don't have that right now. I have to hook up my flashpro to my obd connector then connect my phone then stare at my phone which I don't even have a phone dashboard holder for yet.

Just a lot of extra work.

There are probably thousands of people running the tsp tune on 91 and not experiencing any issues, even if the ECU is experiencing slight knock. I'm sure there are ample protections in place on these tunes to prevent any damage.

At elevation you should actually have less risk of knock since the air pressure is lower.

You'd hope so in regards to the safe guards. Cross your fingers and roll the dice I guess. You should never go over 95% fuel pump duty. Sounds like some are, and that's not good.
