Mystery of the dust crop circles solved…
Went to the ppf guys today. Turns out they dropped a magnetic ppf wrap gripper disc in the door cavity during the installation. It attached itself to the door and pulled the iron brake dust onto the door in the magnetic field pattern.
I was curious as to how much it would build up, so stopped wiping it off since I last posted until I had a chance to drop by the installers. It became a very obvious tattoo on the car:
Also, this car generates a LOT of brake dust. Need to keep an eye on the brake wear.
