I don't have an FL5 myself, but watching our very own @PointByPatrol showing off his FL5 on Gears and Gasoline's video this week was pretty neat. 👏

Decided to torture myself and do one of that last pieces I have been holding out on doing for over 2 years:confused1: So I put aside some time and did the rear Alcantara seat skin swap.. let me tell you those seat ring pliers to do this job make life very easy…. But it’s not an easy 1-2 and done type install… took me about 3hours total from seat skin removal to final install. Looks much nicer and doesn’t feel like cheap jeans material:doh:

100% OEM… didn’t realize how many clips were on these seats.. there had to have been over 105-115:doh:
… I lost track

Might need to DM you about one last time I have my Eye on that you did …

I thought you'd go OEM. Perhaps a subtle upgrade, but it's one of my favorites.

Feel free to send me a note; I'm happy to help.

Had a decent December. Got QuickJacks on a Black Friday deal, got a great deal on a set of winter wheels including tires and installed them, installed PRL HVI, and finally decided to install the Eibach Pro Kit springs this weekend

Was unsure the 255/40/18 tires that were on the Enkei's would fit without rubbing but luckily they do no problem. Pro kit definitely isn't slammed, but low, aggressive and no wheel gap so I'm happy with it. It also rides very nice, less bouncy, little stiffer on the high speed bumps, but so planted. can't wait to get summer wheels and tires on there.

Crappy garage pics since the weather has been terrible

how much did the quickjacks go down to on black friday? sort of want one myself soon, but would like a baseline price during the sales.

My friend bought one, says they jacked up the price to give it a sales price during BF. I don’t know what the regular price was before BF, but this kind of tactic isn’t surprising.

I’m not sure what the price was prior to my looking but they showed $1,850 starting price and $375 off for Black Friday for the 5000TLX. Happy with the quick jacks too. I feel a lot safer working on the car, using a floor jack with this car is a pain and can be pretty sketchy

There is some good info on the forum here, if you haven’t read already other members mentioned you need the 5000TLX as that one is the extended length and will reach the jack points for the FL5

Mishimoto coolant reservoir installed. Pretty easy, took about 30 minutes. Was between this, PRL or 27won unit. Chose this one because it’s been around for a few years now and haven’t heard anything bad about it.

Mounted Conti DWS6 a/s, and a subtle ceramic coat on calipers..didn’t remove the caliper and clean it all out.

Dem weights!

Swapped my sub driver from a 2ohm to a 1ohm setup (Recoil 2ohm2VC), small improvement I think - kinda offset by the 2ohm driver being 3x the cost/quality of the 1ohm :D If I ever toss an amp back there I'll swap back to the higher end driver. To be honest, this isn't super noticeable - the "value" in replacing speakers is like 90% in the doors and tweeters F & R.

Got the dreaded "emissions, rev match, etc, etc" lights Friday night, just went to scan codes now and everything looks normal. Hopefully that remains the case!

What did you swap to? Been looking at this from Audiofrog, can be wired to be 1ohm, and there are a couple of positive reviews from people with an FL5.
