I asked Adro to provide some clearance specs for their front lip. They provided the following.

Does anyone know if the amigain front lip avoids that 51 mm portion that is on this diagram for the Adro lip? I have the maxton design lip and I’m probably going to end up removing it. The lip has a similar thick section. Because of this thick section, I wouldn’t be able to lower the car at all. Looking at the amigain lip, it does not look like it has this similar issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Looks great @dragonate ! I’m very interested in this and have a few questions.

How does it attach? I understand it uses the OEM fasteners? Is that sufficient? Any other drilling required? I was interested in a similar lip by Maxton Designs but that one requires a lot of screws.

How is the fitment? It’s hard to tell from the photo but does it rest snugly against the bottom of the front bumper or slightly lower? Does it feel secure? Also is the color a match to the piano black or if not, is that a concern at all?

Did you install it yourself and if so, how hard was it?

I was messaging with the dude from project aero on a facebook thread. He said it uses only oem bolts and assured me its very stout and sufficient.
I will admit that I am not convinced, I just can't see how this would be enough since it seems all the oem bolts are at the back of the lip. There is a pet peeve of mine which is installing lips with tape and self tapers and with no nuts and bolts (or rivets and bolts) and with this they are just using the OEM bolts. When downforce hits the top of the lip it will push the front down significantly and I just can't see the oem bolts at the back keeping it straight. Sure it might not send the lip flying but it will push it down.

I could be wrong though so don't want to discount what project aero guy told me. If someone has it installed, put some force in front of the lip and see what it does, how far does it flex down?

No extra drilling required! There are like 12 clip points under the bumper that are attached by plastic clips. They provide hardware that replaces 8 of those clips that hold the lip onto the bumper.

the fitment is pretty perfect, yes it is snug up against the bottom of the bumper and it feels very secure. The lip comes in a matte black color which looks fine but I opted to spray paint mine gloss black with a clear coat to try to match it better to the stock gloss black but I dunno if it was worth the effort. In hindsight I think I would have just left alone.

I did install it myself and it was very easy. Don’t even need to remove the bumper. Just need to be able to get under the car and The only tools you need are a 4mm Allen wrench and 10mm socket/wrench for the new hardware. Otherwise very straight forward!

I saw on instagram that Misha was asking if someone had an FL5 so they could scan the trunk so there will probably be some Vulcan Alpha aero parts coming to the FL5 which would be awesome. Definitely a wing but hopefully they develop a lip to go with the wing.
