No extra drilling required! There are like 12 clip points under the bumper that are attached by plastic clips. They provide hardware that replaces 8 of those clips that hold the lip onto the bumper.

the fitment is pretty perfect, yes it is snug up against the bottom of the bumper and it feels very secure. The lip comes in a matte black color which looks fine but I opted to spray paint mine gloss black with a clear coat to try to match it better to the stock gloss black but I dunno if it was worth the effort. In hindsight I think I would have just left alone.

I did install it myself and it was very easy. Don’t even need to remove the bumper. Just need to be able to get under the car and The only tools you need are a 4mm Allen wrench and 10mm socket/wrench for the new hardware. Otherwise very straight forward!
Awesome! Thanks for the details. I think you gave me the confidence to pull the trigger!

I will definitely vouch for this lip. It was exactly what I was looking for!

@dragonate can you test this? How much flex does it have? I am a little nervous that the lip will flex or move around without any other reinforcement from screws or adhesive as the fasteners all look to be at the rear of the lip.

I could be wrong though so don't want to discount what project aero guy told me. If someone has it installed, put some force in front of the lip and see what it does, how far does it flex down?
The Maxton Design lip that is similar comes with this guide which states not to attach from the rear of the lip without reinforcement.

It feels pretty solid to me and doesnt flex much if at all. Ive had it on for about 3 weeks now commuting 60 miles a day mostly highway and havent felt that it was going to come off at any point but ill report back if that changes.

Haven't seen many of these in the US yet but installed the M&M Honda FL5 lip!

Surprisingly not as low as I thought! The aero piece under the front bumper is still lower.

the M&M lip is so nice but for the price it should really have been a 1 piece lip

Love the M&M design!!

However, I'm waiting for the production version of the Cleib Front Splitter...

Project Aero lip splitter. Goes on using OEM holes with no drilling or tape required. I also got it paint matched and it just flows so much better with the car.

Very happy with how this turned out.

Agree this looks awesome. Mine comes soon and I’m going to have to paint it now! Any issues getting it painted? I read that HDPE plastic can be hard to paint. Did you just take it in, or did they have to do anything special?
