Unfortunately, you're not repairing pits in the windshield. Even those treatments to fill chips and cracks only puts lipstick on a pig. In other words, it looks slightly better but you can still see it and it's still ugly. You have a couple of options: 1) live with it and once the windshield is ratty, replace it; or 2) Install film on the windshield (when it's new), let that take a beating and then replace it when it gets ratty.Anyone has success repairing a small "pit" in the windshield? I have Exoshield, zero issues. While I don't have a ton of miles on it, it's been on the car for over 18 months. Years ago there was a fairly high rate of failure within the first 24 months and the product was hit or miss; however, since then material improvements have been made to polymer technology. Much better product today than it was 4 years ago. This is to be expected and not all that different than the early days of ppf.I agree, small pits will still be noticeable and in a lot of cases the filling probably will come out (very small ones). Windshield is definitely super soft. I would probably just live with the pits until its really bad and then replace. If its a bigger pit then I think its worth to fill.
Definitely interested in what people have to say about the windshield film, I have heard it kinda sucks
good to hear your experience is positive. I will definitely consider it when my windshield gets bad enough and get a replacement, I think, just like PPF in the front of this car, this would be a good thing to avoid chips and pits. I have windshield insurance but its a huge hassle to get it replaced, I have had issues with safelite so not a place I like going to if I can avoid.I have Exoshield, zero issues.
