Have you looked at the instructions? Kinda looks like a pain!

Yes, I have reviewed the attached. I was wondering if anyone on this forum actually attempted to do it on their own. I have an appointment at dealership for this Friday to have it installed.

Thats good, when I first put my down payment I thought about doing it myself and found the instructions. Not that I couldn't do it I just decided it would be better left up to the dealership that way if anything went wrong bit was on them. Planed on going with a black one on the white car.

Since then I've decided to not put one on my car and hold off to see what the aftermarket brings.

Very nice!! Do you think it would've been possible to mount it farther back/down closer the rear? Maybe 2" or so... Or does the deck flatten out too much?

I don't think so since the wing comes with a template from the factory with set drilling points (3 per side). I would worry about drilling into the deck if you lowered the placement. The design requires large holes with pins that go into the holes. I also world worry that the pillars that need to adhere to the deck lid wouldn't lie flat. They were perfectly moulded so the gaskets with adhesive fit on the deck lid ridges.

Did you see any reinforcement to help the back hatch hold up to the additional "Downforce" (not sure if it's a functional spoiler or solely cosmetic), or was it literally just drilling and mounting it into the composite material of the hatch?

Looks great btw!

Opted to not get my HPD wing until after winter is over, figured I wouldn't mind at least one winter where I could slide the snow right off the back haha. Definitely love the look though!

The PDF instructions are posted in this thread. Check them out. You'll see the 6 PINs that are inserted into the rear deck lid (3 per side). I image that's the reinforcements. Love the wing and the price. $299 for a factory painted wing- wow. I'm used to wings that cost $2k to $5k on more expensive cars. This is my son's car and he loves it. I love the price- LOL.

I get it and would do the same. We don't have the issue here in N. Florida...LOL
