What is the build date of your 25? I have zero issues with mine, and i have put on 28k miles. My steering feels super smooth. What does it feel like when it locks up? It just becomes stiff?
My 2025 Si is doing this at 16k miles. My previous 2022 did this as well. Can't believe Honda has not figured this out. My Si is so bad driving home from work. Constant fight to un-stick the steering. I look like a total noob driving making jerking left and right motions just trying to drive straight. Turns are worse.

11/24 build date.

It's hard to explain. Just google civic steering wheel sticking. Tons of articles and videos on the issue. 1.7 million vehicles recalled over it.

Basically I'm just trying to drive straight on the freeway, but I can't. The wheel locks up and requires a hard jerk to un-stick it. I mean zero movement. So small tiny adjustments turn into a major adjustment since I have to jerk the wheel. This leads to repeated left and right movements.

In sweeping turns, once it's stuck, I can let go of the steering wheel. It will hold the exact position of the wheel and not come out of the turn. I'm sure this is where the accidents have been reported with this issue. So mid turn, I have to jerk the steering wheel to make it not smash into a wall.

My 25 was built in november as well. My vin does not qualify for recall. Hopefully you can get a new rack installed under warranty.

Took my 25 Si to a different dealer, they didn't hesitate to take the job on. They were able to replicate the issue. They replaced my steering rack assembly under warranty. Thank God and thank the good service advisor/dealer that didn't just deny a warranty claim out of laziness. Car drives amazing, picked it up today.

I'm going to blast the dealer that denied me and is scared of a 1" lowered civic. Honda dealer in Cerritos, CA is scared to work on modified vehicles. Don't take your car to them if you are modified, they might cry about it.
