Spent more time with it today. Some adhesive left behind from the plastic shipping covers. Other than that no damage. They will decontaminate and claybar before they put it under plastic. Amazed by the presence of the car - pics don’t capture it.

As a few people already know, mine as well came in today. I want to thank the people that helped me get through this without me having a stoke or heart attack! I do appreciate everyone’s input. Now to pick a good radar detector šŸ˜‚

You got this man. You know where it is and that it exists which is half the battle. Hang in there - it wont be long. What color btw?
Many thanks for the encouragement! I needed it Just moments ago, received a call from the salesman that my Type R (Boost Blue), is still at the rail yard awaiting a driver to deliver it. So, doesn't look like I'll have it before 2023, but in the meantime I'm enjoying all the posts about those who have and their excitement. It's contagious! Happy New Year to you and all who may read this.

Wishing everyone on the Forum a safe and happy new year. I sincerely appreciate the help I received while waiting for the car to get in. Enjoy your new cars. 1 last question? If you had to decide on a radar detector designed for dummies like myself, would you get the Escort 360 redline or the Valentine 1 Gen 2 There’s only a 2 or 3 hundred dollar difference but if I . Want to plug it in and don’t have to figure anything out except put it on the windshield and hope it works, Any preference?
Thanks again for everything

I’ve had Passport and Beltronics detectors. Passport had a lot of features that I found to be more gimmicky that useful. The Beltronics (STi Driver) was great and when living in Virginia, undetectable. I now have the Gen 2 Valentine and think it’s in a class of its own in terms of sensitivity and AI. It’s been criticized for not having GPS, but if you dig into the literature it’s not needed the way the Gen 2 is setup. Make sure to buy it directly from the manufacturer too! Plus, it gets regular updates and there are many apps that extent its utility. My favorite is George Mills’ V1Driver available for iPhone. Finally, the Gen 2 is expensive, on the larger size compared to others, power hungry, somewhat ugly, has a steep learning curve owing to its many features, uses red LEDs, but outperforms everything else in my estimation.
