Honda could have just gave us something similar to this for fake sound.
One of the better ones Honda Acura has done. I wonder if it can be swapped over

What is so odd to me is if you are going to pump in fake sound... why is it SO bad? Disabling it was one of the better uses of 30mins of my time working on the car.

That video sounds a lot more like it's just amplifying the natural sound of the Acura vs the weird sound the FL5 makes.

Makes me wonder if we can swap over the DE5's module that pumps in the sound over the FL5's if it would make any difference.... since the FL5's pumped in "noise" is really like nails on a chalkboard for me in +R mode :banghead: :confused1:

Yes, ITS one would be a direct swap and should work with no issues. The TLX one will have to be pulled apart and then replace the circuit board. It may or may not work from other models but only one way to find out.

Hmm time to start digging for a part number :coffee: :hmm:

I've looked up the part numbers and it's interesting to see that the Type R ASC module is about 2.5x more expensive than the ITS one.. even though they're both in the same housing design.

I haven't heard any interior sound clips of the ITS yet, but it will be interesting to see how the sound compares between the two despite the price difference! :hmm:

Interesting. Could be USDM vs JDM difference but that is a wild difference. Are you going to try for yourself?

I actually placed an order of AWE's Touring exhaust system about three weeks ago so I should be receiving it very soon. For my situation, I think it would be pointless for me to swap the module and test it out lol.

I thought the DE5 doesn't have noise pumped in since the exhaust itself is louder? Maybe I'm wrong about that.

@randomFL5guy DE5 has pumped in noise, it's just more subtle and matched better to the actual engine/exhaust sounds

@DKwen was kind enough to post ADS module part numbers across several vehicles. See here for the post.
I know the ADS part number…. But thank you;)

It I’m looking for the ASC ( active sound control ) module part number from the ITS/DE5
