Not a mod, not sure where to post this question? Just picked up my car yesterday, here's my first dumb question: with these cloth seats... what do you do to clean them and keep them clean. In particular, I'm wondering about hopping in the car when I'm sweaty after the gym etc. Do you keep a towel in the car? Or just clean them from time to time, and if so how do you go about that with these oem seats? Thx

You sir, need a pair of these bad boys from Dream Automotive. I’ve had them on my car for 18 months and my seats look like they e never been sat in. If you don’t wanna cover your seats then some Sonax Alcantera cleaner can get the job done for you.

Just ordered these dream covers. How long did it take to get them? I figure I'll use them for shuffling the kids to camp/sports and for when I might get dirty at work.

It took about a week for me to get them. Install takes 60 seconds at most

I do have one of those covers I put on when I take the car to the shop just in case someone has grease on their pants, then I remove it. Those seats are way too good to get covered with a cheap ill fiting cover. I mean to each their own but I want to use the car and not save it for the next guy.

Just be careful when you get in and out if you want but mostly make sure your hands or pants is not dirty. Then once in a while clean the it with sonax and thats that, they will look good for a long time. The cover might prevent dirt but it will not prevent creases and as it rubs around it will still ear the seats a bit.

Vacuum the seat well.

Use a lint brush.

Then...

I use Sonax cleaner and Sonax brush.

Sonax (206141) Upholstery and Alcantara Cleaner - 8.45 fl. oz., 250 Milliliter https://a.co/d/bukEz1w

Sonax (416741) Textile & Leather Brush,Black https://a.co/d/jg3iCrs

I pump the sonax on the brush and brush a well. (I think Sonax says to put product on the fabric them brush. I don't agree with that method)

I am very impressed with with what it does. It is now a permanent item in my car.

Dream covers here as well. They go on and come off quick. Proven resistance to fluids, protected my seats from a leaky bottle of apple juice.
Plus is they make sliding in and out of the seat easy for daily driving duties. My seats look brand new after 1 1/2 years and 11,000 miles.

The trunk mat and seat back protector can be ordered at your local dealer for a lot less. The boxes for the trunk mat and seat back protector are very bulky that’s why it’s so expensive. Get the seat covers only.

I bought two Type R's and keep one in plastic wrap. You pay for shower privilege's, use it.

Lol, I just want the seat protector for after bike rides when I'm exceptionally gross. Won't keep the cover on all the time.

You can get the cargo mat and seatback protectors from PRL for a good price and $10 shipping. I ordered it from them Monday and it will be here tomorrow.

I planned on using the seat covers for when I am coming from work dirty or taking the kids to sports and picking them up from camp. Grease, dirt, mud and sunblock will wreck those seats. $330 in the grand scheme of things is cheap protection and I can easily put them on in a pinch.
